6. Overcoming the Fear of Death
WHY GRIEVE FOR SOMETHING THAT CAN NEVER BE DESTROYED?
अथ चैनं नित्यजातं नित्यं वा मन्यसे मृतम् |
तथापि त्वं महाबाहो नैनं शोचितुमर्हसि || २ २६ ||
atha chainam nitya-jaatam
nityam vaa manyase mrtam
tathaapi tvam mahaa baaho
nainam shochitum arhasi (SBG 2:26)
Nonetheless, even if you think that the soul is in a cycle of life and death, that is, it is born, and dies perpetually, you should not be grieving like this. (SBG 2:26)
