On the 11th of June 2019, I lost one of my oldest and closest friends. It was during the start of my teenage years that he and I became friends. He had a great influence on my life. The adventurous years we had together can make anyone turn green with envy. The striking commonality between him and me has been that both of us have always RESPECTED, VALUED, CHERISHED and CELEBRATED every single moment of our respective lives. He was certainly not an old man when he passed away, but the sad truth is that death is the only certainty about life. Whenever one’s time arrives, he or she has to drop everything and leave.
This wonderful song by Doris Day who also sang ‘Que sera’ is a quick reminder for people who somehow end up taking things for granted as if they were going to live forever are too choosy about things in life, long for what they do not have instead of appreciating and being thankful for what they have; and waste time whining, cribbing, complaining and crying for what they do not possess.
Hating, worrying, being envious of others, having a fat ego, cheating others, being untruthful, being thankless, being greedy, being unkind, and so on; waste time and suck out the real beauty from life.
Life is a short, sweet, beautiful and priceless gift – Live it to the fullest.
Change your circle and change your life. There will certainly be people who never let you change or grow, and therefore it would be necessary for you to be mindful of whose energy you receive, through your daily interaction with others, the films you watch, the kind of TV soaps you watch, and so on.
Try to hang around with happy and successful people. Their qualities can be highly contagious, which, in turn, can turn out to be good for you.

You, the mighty Agni, gather up all that is precious for your friend.
Bring us all treasures as you are enkindled in libation’s place
Assemble, speak together: let your minds be all of one accord,
As ancient Gods unanimous sit down to their appointed share.
The place is common, common the assembly, common the mind, so be their thought united.
A common purpose do I lay before you, and worship with your offerings.
One and the same be your resolve, and be your minds of one accord.
United be the thoughts of all that all may find happily concur.
The great Osho in one of his talks said, “It is good to make mistakes or rather, one new mistake every day, because mistakes teach you something or the other. But it would be sheer stupidity to repeat the same mistake over and over and over again.”
The great Sage of Kanchi said to his followers, “Pray and ask for more troubles.”(!) What? Yes, that is what he said to his followers. What he meant was ask for more challenges, face them, handle them, and be done with your past Karma as quickly as possible! So that one can focus on leading a life that can get them to the Supreme Goal instead of using their mental and physical energy in things like basic survival, handling back-stabbers, quarrelling with one’s spouse and so on. Challenges in your lives have been caused by your own past Karma and nothing or no one else. Settle past Karma as quickly and smoothly as possible.
However, we all know that we certainly are not saints and that all of us make mistakes, but after we have apologised or asked for someone to pardon us for the mistake(s) committed by us, we definitely feel lighter and better.
Arjuna did that too. Here is a brief ‘Prayer of Apology’ through which you could request Bhagavan Krishna to forgive you for the mistakes you might have committed both knowingly and also unknowingly.
Shloka SBG 11:44, which is the last Shloka in this brief prayer session, is sure to bring tears in the eyes of a true devotee of Krishna.
मूर्खों के पाँच लक्षण हैं – गर्व, अपशब्द, क्रोध, हठ और दूसरों की बातों का अनादर॥
The five characteristics of fools are pride, slander, anger, stubbornness and disrespect for what others say.
Whereas a ‘Responsible Soul’ who is a committed KarmaYogi devoted to Bhagavan Shri Krishna, has none of the above qualities.
Life is short. Let us all spread love, peace and knowledge.
When did it all start? When did creation take place? Has there been one beginning or are there cycles? Coming to think of it, was there a beginning at all? And if yes, how could someone have known it when they did not even exist at the time the universe was presumed to have been created from nothing?
Luckily for us, unlike the way it is in organised religions, we are not merely ‘allowed’ to ask questions but in fact, we are encouraged to do so simply because knowledge is Brahman.
SBG 4:38 There is certainly nothing more purifying than knowledge. He who is perfect in Yoga finds it in the Self in due course of time.
The two Shlokas given below say that creation and dissolution take place in cycles.
SBG 9:07 All beings, O Arjuna, enter into My Nature at the end of a cosmic cycle or Kalpa and I send them forth again at the beginning of the next Kalpa.
SBG 9:08 The entire cosmic system is under Me and I send a multitude of beings again and again which have no freedom because they are under the control of the forces of Nature.
Now, here is the famous Nasadiya Sukta which is a set of seven Shlokas of the 129th Hymn from the 10th Mandala of the Rig Veda.
Please visit the page, read the post and watch the video.
EVERYTHING THAT EXISTS, EXISTS MERELY IN THE MIND. I repeat EVERYTHING THAT EXISTS, EXISTS MERELY IN THE MIND.
Whatever people perceive is solely based on the data acquired through the five senses which is processed as well as interpreted by the mind.
Even after receiving the greatest Blessing in the form of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita with the highest level of philosophy of ‘Atma Gnyaana’ taught in it, there are still many people who waste their time and mental energy looking for quick solutions at the feet of babas and ammas, or performing penances for different deities, taking highly challenging vows, and a lot of other such things, which none of the great teachers have ever asked people to do.
Take Shri Ramana or the Sage of Kanchi for example, Most of their followers do exactly what the divine teachers did not ask them to do!
In Shloka SBG 12:05 Krishna explains the need that people have for the personification of the Supreme Brahman, but then the problem is that people stop there and do not go any further. That leads them to be revolving in vicious Karmic cycles drowned in utter ignorance and mental slavery.
Hope this video with some selected Shlokas helps clear doubts in your minds.
When you go to bed, tell yourself that you would start the following day with a new thought that would be good for others starting with the people who are around you – your parents, spouse, children and others.
It takes 72 muscles to frown — only 14 to smile! Many people hardly realise the power of a SMILE which is created by using merely 14 facial muscles.
Whatever be the thought that you wake up with, just remember one thing – SMILE at the persons you see in the morning and wish them a good morning in the language of your choice. If there are elders in your home, demonstrate your respect for them as per your family traditions.
If you have one or more pets, look at them with love, SMILE and show them that you care for them. Those voiceless but marvellous creations of nature will surely see and feel your love and will emit tonnes of Divine energy onto you.
SPREAD LOVE AND FRIENDSHIP. Everything else is worthless.
There is NO REMEDY FOR KARMA. SETTLING PAST KARMA IS THE ONLY WAY.
However, there is a possibility to simply WIPE ALL PAST KARMA. Read SBG 18:66 and find out – but to understand the Shloka and learn to apply it in life, reading the Srimad Bhagavad Gita at least three to four times and understanding Krishna and Karma Yoga are necessary.
If someone offers you a ‘remedy’ for your Shani Dasha or any challenging phase that you might be undergoing in life, remember that they are making money out of you. No guru, no baba, no amma, no one can settle your Karma for you, not even your own mother who bore you and delivered you. There are of course very good spiritual teachers who might be able to show you how to go about things but they surely CANNOT settle your Karma.
“Karma is simply the principle of cause and effect and not of reward or punishment as taught in organised religions.”

The Advaita Vedanta is what I call RATIONAL PHILOSOPHY. Should you wish to communicate with me, it would be useful if you could complete going through the Srimad Bhagavad Gita at least once because whatever I would be talking about would be based on the philosophy taught in this great Divine Scripture.

This is a site that I use as a ‘loud thinking’ platform in which, I share the knowledge of Advaita Vedanta as also experiences from my eventful life. This is not an astrological site and therefore, please refrain from sending me requests for astrological predictions.
Please click on the link below to take a look at the resources I offer people to study the Srimad Bhagavad Gita. It includes a Run-Through video of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita which is less than two hours long.

Stay blessed.
Jai Shri Krishna.
