At the core of our journey lies the intrinsic motivation that propels us to fulfil our duties, achieve our goals, and overcome challenges, elevating our living standards and more. While external support plays a role, we must not forget the paramount significance of our inner drive. This support can manifest in the form of material or moral assistance. We discover their profound influence on our inner motivations as we explore selected Shlokas from the Srimad Bhagavad Gita.
The Srimad Bhagavad Gita serves as a guiding light, leading seekers through various stages, culminating in Divine SELF-Realisation. Reading these chosen Shlokas can provide a momentary surge of mental energy, meeting our immediate needs for a powerful boost. However, it is vital to remember that such brief moments alone cannot replace the transformative experience of delving into the entirety of this life-changing scripture, the Srimad Bhagavad Gita.
Sorry for being blunt, but if you hold beliefs in a separate being up there, who is constantly watching and controlling your life—granting your wishes upon prayer and punishing you for not doing so with misfortunes—you might not have attained sufficient mental maturity, are unwilling to employ your innate power of reason, or have been influenced by a cult or religion that prevents you from understanding the true essence of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita.
For the past nine years, I have tirelessly worked to empower everyone, irrespective of gender or social status, with the ability to read, study, and internalise the RATIONAL PHILOSOPHY present in the Srimad Bhagavad Gita. It is knowledge that can be easily grasped if only one remained mentally free.
I won’t elaborate further, but I encourage you to watch this video, which is basically some bonus content added to the 100 selected SBG Shlokas course.
Why would anyone want to be a mental slave to someone or something?
Before you proceed, consider these questions: 1. If Krishna was omnipresent, wouldn’t that mean He resides within me as well? So, why should I search for Him outside myself?
2. If I believe in the existence of beings other than the All-pervading Divine principle, also known as Krishna, does that not negate the existence of Krishna within those beings?
3. Tavamithram taught his son Vedanta from a young age, ensuring the boy’s mind was completely free from irrational dualistic beliefs. Why am I still bound by baseless belief systems forced upon me?
Ask yourself: Are you free or are you part of a cult?
Many of us have encountered conflicts arising from differences in religion, sects, and subsects. Have we ever pondered deeply about the root cause of such divisions that lead to hatred and enmity? The answer is rather simple: it stems from individual beliefs. When someone holds a particular belief, it is inevitable that others may hold different beliefs, leading to conflicts and social divisions based on religion, communities, sects, and subsects.
It is sad that this social ailment should be prevalent in India, known for its rich spiritual heritage, encompassing the Vedas, Vedanta, the Srimad Bhagavad Gita, and revered sages like Adi Shankaracharya, Shri Ramana, Swami Vivekananda, among many others. One might ask – how is it that the profound essence of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita has been overshadowed, giving rise to numerous splinter groups that continue to thrive today and perpetuate divisions within the Dharmic society? The answer lies in ignorance—the ignorance of the highest Truth, the All-Pervading Divine Principle.
In the Srimad Bhagavad Gita, Krishna guides Arjuna, who symbolises the ordinary person, through the different stages of Karma or action, devotion, and ultimately knowledge—the highest stage. This knowledge, known as Brahmagnyana, pertains to the realisation of the All-Pervading nondual Paramatma or Supreme SELF. Even as early as the 4th chapter, Krishna explicitly reveals this profound Truth: in SBG 4:38, ‘There is certainly nothing more purifying than knowledge. He who is perfect in Yoga finds it in the Self in due course of time.’
I have created this video as a means to evaluate one’s susceptibility to cultist forces. It is aimed at serving as a simple self-assessment tool, allowing individuals to honestly reflect on their own beliefs and influences.
The ‘thread’ of existence – The one who comprehends this attains instantaneous spiritual, intellectual and emotional freedom, and above all peace.
Irrespective of the difficulties or obstacles you encounter in life, the foremost task you might want to undertake prior to seeking solutions would be to overcome the CURSE OF DUALITY by PURGING YOUR MIND of all baseless fears, beliefs and assumptions that may be currently dictating your thoughts.
Those who propagate the concept of duality lack an understanding of both Vedanta and the principles of science and rationality. Their influence on society has been immeasurable and harmful. The naive and intellectual notion of unquestioningly believing in the existence of a separate divine being is a leading cause of major conflicts, wars, genocides, and other atrocious events throughout human history. Individual beliefs often clash, leading to deep-rooted conflicts that can endure for centuries. Nowhere in the Srimad Bhagavad Gita does Krishna instruct Arjuna to blindly believe in anything or seek His favour through prayer. Nowhere does Krishna advocate for performing absurd goal-oriented rituals. Such actions carried out in the name of religion, Bhakti, or tradition contradict one of the core teachings of KarmaYoga in the Srimad Bhagavad Gita.
SBG 2:47 कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन | मा कर्मफलहेतुर्भूर्मा ते सङ्गोऽस्त्वकर्मणि || २ ४७ || You only have the right to work, but never to claim its results. The results of your actions should never be your motive but at the same time, you should not be attached to inaction.
Watch the Advaitaanubhava video given below to gain more clarity on this matter.
Consider this: Just as a wave emerges from the ocean and temporarily assumes its own form and identity, it always remains connected to and inseparable from the ocean.
Likewise, all living beings and inanimate objects are similar to waves, as they too arise from the vast ocean of existence and adopt transient names and forms, only to return to their original state of oneness with the entirety of existence or Brahman.
Physical beings are mere assemblages of cells organised in various ways that determine their structure and function. However, the true Self is the same omnipresent Paramatma, Brahman, or the entity known as Krishna, without whom nothing can either exist or not exist.
The false belief of separation from the whole is the root cause of mental distress and unease in life. These deeply ingrained beliefs, though difficult to uproot, can be overcome within a short span of time if one truly opens their inner eye of reason.
SBG 6:29 सर्वभूतस्थमात्मानं सर्वभूतानि चात्मनि | ईक्षते योगयुक्तात्मा सर्वत्र समदर्शनः || ६ २९ || A yogi whose Self is united with Divine Consciousness sees the Self abiding in all beings and all beings in the Self. Such a person sees the same everywhere.
SBG 10:20 अहमात्मा गुडाकेश सर्वभूताशयस्थितः | अहमादिश्च मध्यं च भूतानामन्त एव च || १० २० || I am the Self, O Gudakesha (Arjuna), situated within all living entities. I am the origin, the middle and also the end of all beings.
SBG 13:27 (or 28 in some editions) समं सर्वेषु भूतेषु तिष्ठन्तं परमेश्वरम् | विनश्यत्स्वविनश्यन्तं यः पश्यति स पश्यति || १३ २७ || The person who truly sees is the one who sees the Supreme Atman or Supreme Bhagavan, existing equally in all beings – the unperishing within the perishing.
SBG 13:28 (or 29 in some editions) समं पश्यन्हि सर्वत्र समवस्थितमीश्वरम् | न हिनस्त्यात्मनात्मानं ततो याति परां गतिम् || १३ २८ || Such a person perceives the same Supreme Divinity or Bhagavan dwelling equally everywhere, and he does not degrade his own spiritual well-being by mistaking his ego to be the Self like the way ignorant people do. He, therefore, reaches the highest goal.
Clean up your mind. START WORKING on gaining Advaitaanubhava and find peace in 30 minutes – Learning to Experience nonduality or Universal Oneness. The moment you realise that there is nothing outside your own mind, the result will be nothing but fearlessness and absolute peace.

“I do this because this is what my elders have been doing,” is a typical argument given by people, who either do not have the inclination to learn and evolve, or have been trained to never ask questions.
In today’s world, it seems like everything is becoming more complicated than it needs to be. People are drifting away from the core Vedanta philosophy and creating their own sub-organisations and communities, often confusing children and youth about what is truly important in life.
Organised religions have taken advantage of this confusion by capitalising on people’s ignorance of Vedanta, and their desire to find meaning and purpose. They shame children and youth who come from a Dharmic background, of which Vedanta is at the pinnacle. Instead of focusing on the core philosophy of Vedanta, people are getting caught up in the beliefs of foreign religions, which have crept into their consciousness.
The Srimad Bhagavad Gita provides a perfect layout for a productive and fulfilling life, but unfortunately, many people do not fully understand its philosophy. Instead, through social media posts and videos, they are subliminally and also directly forced to fully believe in duality so that the gullible youth could become members of their large organisations. Most such organisations preach messages that are contrary to the teachings of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita.
It is time for people to start simplifying their lives and focusing on the core philosophy of Vedanta. We need to get back to basics and teach our children and youth the true meaning of dharma. By doing so, we can create a world that is more peaceful, harmonious, and fulfilling.
For those who have an open mind and are interested in learning more about the highest philosophy and science of Vedanta, there are resources available to help. Videos, books, and other materials can be found online, providing a wealth of information and knowledge about this ancient philosophy.
Let us all work together to simplify our lives and focus on what truly matters. By doing so, we can create a better world for ourselves, our children, and future generations to come.
This video is meant for people, who have an open mind and would like to experience and learn more about the highest philosophy and science of Vedanta.
The day was the 12th of February 1963. Vishwanath Dutta and Bhubaneswari Devi welcomed into the world their son Narendranath Dutta, who would grow up to become Swami Vivekananda, one of the finest modern teachers of the Vedanta philosophy.
Vedanta literally means the end of or the highest stage of the Vedas. Swami Vivekananda was aware of the degradation of the Vedantic philosophy which had led to differences among people, causing countless sects among those who did not convert to foreign predatory religions but remained in the Dharmic fold. The contribution of Swami Vivekananda to enlighten people about the philosophy of Vedanta in his rather short span of life is simply incomparable.
How many of the so-called ‘pious ‘hindus” of today have even read the Srimad Bhagavad Gita, at least some of the prime Upanishads, or the Brahma Sutras? Social media is full of strangely dressed people with painted faces, those who are only further strengthening the feeling of duality in the minds of the masses. Each one starts his or her own ashram, cult, or whatever and breaks society into fragments with followers who haven’t the slightest clue of the essence of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita, known as the nectar of all the Upanishads. There are also those who have read the Srimad Bhagavad Gita but have somehow conveniently either overlooked or misinterpreted certain parts of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita, which explicitly and directly destroy all kinds of rites and rituals done with the aim of receiving something in return.
Below are some such Shlokas, which, if you happen to be a person with an open mind, can at least set you thinking.
ARISE! AWAKE!
SBG 2:46-42 Unintelligent people, who have minds full of desires, are attracted by the flowery statements in the Vedas, and they consider heaven as their highest goal. For them, there is nothing else higher than it. They speak about the rites as prescribed in the Vedas which get them good birth, power and enjoyment. They think that there is nothing beyond pleasure and wealthy life. People who are attached to such gratifications and power are carried away by these words, and they are not able to attain total determination to concentrate on the Supreme Bhagavan or Divinity.
SBG 7:19 Therefore, after innumerable births, the one who has perfected his or her wisdom, understanding fully My universal reality, surrenders to Me and such a soul is very rare.
SBG 7:24 Foolish people who do not know My formless, exalted, imperishable, and supreme nature think I assume a manifest human form.
SBG 9:23 Those who worship other deities with faith are also worshiping Me, but they are doing it without true understanding.
SBG 9:25 Those who worship Deities, go to them; those who worship ancestors, go to their ancestors; people who worship ghosts and spirits, go to them; and those who worship Me, will surely come unto Me.
SBG 10:20 I am the Self, O Gudakesha (Arjuna), situated within all living entities. I am the origin, the middle and also the end of all beings.
SBG 13:02 (13:05 in some editions)You should know that the Kshetrajna or the embodied Self in all bodies or Kshetras is Me, O Arjuna. Knowing about the Kshetra and the Kshetrajnas is called knowledge.
SBG 18:66 Giving up all your ideas of righteousness or religion, take complete refuge in Me. I will liberate you from all sinful reactions. Do not fear.
Some famous quotes by Swami Vivekananda
“We are what our thoughts have made us; so take care of what you think. Words are secondary. Thoughts live; they travel far.”
“You have to grow from the inside out. None can teach you, and none can make you spiritual. There is no other teacher but your own soul.”
“All the powers in the universe are already ours. It is we who have put our hands before our eyes and cry that it is dark.”
“The moment I have realized God sitting in the temple of every human body, the moment I stand in reverence before every human being and see God in him – that moment I am free from bondage, everything that binds vanishes, and I am free.”
“The whole secret of existence is to have no fear. Never fear what will become of you, depend on no one. Only the moment you reject all help are you freed.”
“Never think there is anything impossible for the soul. It is the greatest heresy to think so. If there is sin, this is the only sin; to say that you are weak, or others are weak.”
“All differences in this world are of degree, and not of kind, because oneness is the secret of everything.”
“The will is not free – it is a phenomenon bound by cause and effect – but there is something behind the will which is free.”
“The Vedanta recognizes no sin, it only recognizes error. And the greatest error, says the Vedanta, is to say that you are weak, that you are a sinner, a miserable creature, and that you have no power, and you cannot do this and that.”
“If money helps a man to do good to others, it is of some value; but if not, it is simply a mass of evil, and the sooner it is got rid of, the better.”

*You could choose to listen to this audio, or if you wish, you could also play the audio and simultaneously read the introductionto the video given below:
Around thirty trillion cells that are stuck together form the human body in which you reside. In fact, YOU, or rather your SELF, exist in each of these trillions of cells.
Now, how is your SELF different from the SELF that exists in others and in all other living beings? Is each SELF known by some people as ‘Jivatma’ separate from one another? After a person is dead and gone, and when neither face, body, nor DNA exist, how can you tell one ‘Jivatma’ from another?`Do they have ‘Jivatma fingerprints?’ And if ‘Jivatmas’ were truly separate from one another, then they should be made of matter in one of the three states of solid, liquid or gas. What are they made of? Are they some kind of gas? If that were to be the case, they should be made of molecules. So what kind of molecules are they made of?
The lack of general knowledge, common sense, and an overall foundation of rationality are the ones that cause people to believe without questioning whatever ‘yarns’ are spun for them by ‘religious’ people.
Have you read the Srimad Bhagavad Gita? Did Arjuna ever ‘pray to Krishna’ to help him win the war? NO! Arjuna only requested Krishna to accept him as His pupil and impart knowledge to him.
The Srimad Bhagavad Gita is a perfect allegory for your life. The Mahabharata war is not something that takes place between you and others, but it is a perpetual battle between the ‘Pandavas’ and ‘Kauravas’ that represent the positive and negative thoughts in your mind. Remember that both are equally powerful, and therefore, the only way for the good guys or the Pandavas to win over the badies of the Kauravas would be THROUGH KNOWLEDGE. Every sane person has their own intellect or KRISHNA in them, but how many actually choose to be like Arjuna who questions, discusses, contemplates, reflects, and is always eager to learn, is an important question.
The last Shloka SBG 18:78 of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita sums it all up:
SBG 18:78 (Sanjaya says) Wherever there is Krishna, the Master of Yoga; and wherever there is Arjuna, the supreme archer; you will find there, prosperity, happiness, victory and righteousness. Of this fact, I am certain.
What is the moral of Shloka 18:78? A true seeker is one who is eager to learn, is socially responsible, is fearless, and is aware that he is the same All-pervading Supreme Paramatma, temporarily limited by his false belief that he is restricted to the boundaries of his skin on his body. Such a person consults his intellect before performing action, which he does as a sacrifice unto Krishna or his own Higher Self, and by doing so, he can be free from Karmic reactions and comfortably evolve towards the final goal of Ultimate Self-Realisation.
Please read the following translated SBG Shlokas and then watch the video:
SBG 2:18 The material body is perishable but not the eternal, indestructible and immeasurable Self, which has no end.
SBG 2:20 The Self is never born, nor does it die at any time. It does not come into existence by being born. The Self is constant. It is not killed when the body dies.
SBG 2:25 The Self is said to be formless, inconceivable, immutable and unchangeable. Hence, knowing this, you should not grieve.
SBG 6:29 A yogi, whose Self is united with Divine Consciousness, sees the Self abiding in all beings and all beings in the Self. Such a person sees the same everywhere.
SBG 13:02 (13.3 in some editions) You should know that the Kshetrajna or the embodied Self in all bodies or Kshetras is Me, O Arjuna. Knowing about the Kshetra and the Kshetrajnas is called knowledge.
SBG 13:22 (13.23 in some editions) Yet, within the body resides The Supreme Bhagavan who is also called the Spectator, the One who permits, the Supporter and the Transcendental Enjoyer. He is the Paramatma, the Supreme Self.
SBG 13:31 (13:32 in some editions) The imperishable Supreme Self is without any beginning and is devoid of the Gunas or material qualities, O Arjuna. Although it dwells in the body, it neither acts nor is tainted.
SBG 13:32 (13:33 in some editions) Just as the all-pervading ether is not tainted because of its subtlety, the Self that is seated everywhere in the body, does not mix with it nor is affected by it.
SBG 13:33 (13:34 in some editions) Like the sun that illuminates the whole world, the Self or the Soul, which is the Bhagavan of the Kshetram or body, illuminates the whole field, O Arjuna.
SBG 14:19 The one who recognises the Gunas alone as the agent in all actions and treats the Self to be above the Gunas, achieves My (Krishna’s) Divine Nature.
SBG 18:63 I have taught you the secret wisdom, which is deeper than all that is confidential and profound. Reflect fully on what I have declared to you, and do what you wish to do.
I can understand the lives of people, whose forefathers had converted to foreign religions either due to fear, greed, or whatever reason. But what about those whose forefathers faced it all, stood tall, protected the Vedic Sanatana Dharma, and passed it on so that the present generation could benefit from the highest knowledge of Vedanta?
How pathetic can such a huge number of people be, to not put in at least minimal efforts to study the Srimad Bhagavad Gita, which is called the nectar of all the Upanishads, instead of becoming mental slaves of non-existent imaginary deities and of beef-eating men and women claiming to be special divine people; join cults, sects, groups and subgroups; and actually choose to suffer all through their lives! How pathetic!
Now, get this straight: If you do something, no matter how ‘religious’ or ‘pious’ you might think it is, but expect something in return, including simply ‘wanting to please ‘god”; you would only be going against the main principle of KarmaYoga:
कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन | मा कर्मफलहेतुर्भूर्मा ते सङ्गोऽस्त्वकर्मणि || २ ४७ || karmaNye vaadhikaras te maa phaleshu kadaachana maa-karma-phala-hetur-bhuur- maa te sango ‘stva karmaNi (SBG 2:47) You only have the right to work, but never to claim its results. The results of your actions should never be your motive but at the same time, you should not be attached to inaction.
How miserable can people be, particularly those who consider themselves to be educated and knowledgeable, to ‘pray’ for special favours to something that does not even exist?
Please, remember that The Srimad Bhagavad Gita is a grand allegory. The Pandavas and the Kauravas are the positive and negative forces that continuously battle within one’s mind. Arjuna had Krishna as his own driver all through the war, but did he ever ask Krishna to ‘perform miracles’ and solve his problems? NO! Arjuna placed himself as a pupil of Krishna. See Shloka SBG 2:07. The moment any person, no matter m or f, positions himself or herself as an ‘Arjuna’, their ‘Krishna’ will appear and guide them through life. What I mean by ‘their ‘Krishna’ will appear’ is that their natural intellect, which has been, until then, shrouded by ignorance, ego, selfishness, and stupidity in the name of religion, misunderstood ‘shraddha’, ‘aasthaa’ or whatever, will start functioning well and help the person be open to true knowledge.
Krishna says:
अव्यक्तं व्यक्तिमापन्नं मन्यन्ते मामबुद्धयः | परं भावमजानन्तो ममाव्ययमनुत्तमम् || ७ २४ || avyaktam vyakti-maapannam manyante maam-abuddhayaha param bhaava-majaa-nanto mamaa-vyayaman-uttamam (SBG 7:24) Foolish people who do not know My formless, exalted, imperishable, and supreme nature think I assume a manifest human form.
अवजानन्ति मां मूढा मानुषीं तनुमाश्रितम् | परं भावमजानन्तो मम भूतमहेश्वरम् || ९ ११ || avajaananti maam mood-haa maanu-sheem tanum-aashritam param bhaavam-ajaananto mama bhoota-maheshvaram (SBG 9:11) Foolish people, due to their lack of understanding of My higher nature as the Supreme Bhagavan of everything that exists, disregard Me when I descend in the human form.
What do the above Shlokas mean? It simply means that FOOLISH PEOPLE do not understand HIS Universal Nature because of silly beliefs that were injected into their heads through generations and generations of people who either had no idea of what they were saying or doing, or did such things deliberately in order to keep people in a state of intellectual and spiritual stupor. Puranas, which are meant to enable seekers better internalise the Supreme Truth of Vedanta are being taken literally and whole new cults are being created out of them!
Stop all the nonsensical rites and rituals you perform with your poor understanding of Vedanta believing they would ‘make ‘god’ happy’ and be helpful or useful to you; and study the Srimad Bhagavad Gita. There cannot be anything more important for you in life than something that can set your whole life straight.
Click here to look for suitable Gita resources and swear never to be pathetic or lead a pathetic life filled with fear, greed, anger, hatred, laziness, and the lack of true Vedantic Knowledge, simply because you do not care to study the Srimad Bhagavad Gita and are willing to spread the disease of pseudo-spirituality to others and to future generations.
The Preface of the book – read for you by the author.
Life is a grand journey between two crucial points in time. The manner in which an individual views life, experiences it, perceives various situations and reacts to them shape it apart from building their entire personality.
The Srimad Bhagavad Gita is a perfect guide to blissful living. However, the reputation of being deep, intense, complicated and highly philosophical that it carries, usually discourages seekers, both young and senior, from reading it. This book is aimed at making it easy for seekers to comprehend the essence of the amazing scripture, which is a great gift to humankind, and alter their whole perspective of life.
Those who study the scripture at a young age can be sure of a highly enriching and fulfilling life. Studying the Srimad Bhagavad Gita and internalising Krishna’s core teachings couldn’t get any simpler than this.
