Some organised religions claim that ‘The fear of ‘god’ is the beginning of wisdom.’ They assert that their ‘god’ sends two she-bears to maul children who jeer at holy people. Others command the chopping off of the limbs of people on opposite sides who wage war against their ‘god’ and their ‘divine’ intermediaries. Yet they maintain that their ‘god’, whom they portray as some kind of terrible ‘Boogeyman,’ is somehow loving and compassionate, at least until one disobeys him!

In Shloka SBG 2:46 Krishna declares to Arjuna that a person of Self-Realisation or one who has realised Brahman, has risen above the Vedas.
