The Shocking Power of Your Choices: What You Sow Now, You Reap Later
Have you ever stopped to consider how the choices you made in the past have shaped your life today, and how the choices you make today will shape the life you’ll lead tomorrow? It’s a profound thought, one that often goes unnoticed in the hustle and bustle of daily life. Yet, the reality is that every decision, big or small, sets the stage for your future.
Imagine your life as a garden. The seeds you plant now—your choices, actions, and even thoughts—will grow and flourish, determining the landscape of your tomorrow. But here’s the kicker: not all seeds bear the fruit you desire. Some choices can lead to a bountiful harvest, while others may result in weeds that choke out your potential. Try it, and you will see that you can almost always trace everything you do, have, or not have to some small choice you made in the past.
In this video presentation, we will delve deep into this concept, exploring the hidden power of the everyday choices we make. We’ll uncover how every decision we make impacts our future, often in ways we can’t foresee. Through my own real-life example and thought-provoking insights, we’ll see how to make choices that align with the life we truly want to live.
Don’t miss out on this eye-opening exploration of how your current decisions will echo through the years to come. Watch the video and discover the importance of everything you think, say, or do that can plant the seeds of a fulfilling, successful, and happy future.

In our culture, age often comes with preconceived notions and limitations. However, the concept that age is merely a number, challenges these views, highlighting that vitality and well-being are not solely defined by how many years we’ve lived.
Think of your body as a vehicle. Just as a car requires regular maintenance to function optimally, our bodies need consistent care to stay in peak condition. This involves more than just physical fitness—it encompasses a balanced diet, mental wellness, and a positive outlook on life.
Prioritising health and fitness ensures that our ‘vehicle’ runs smoothly and efficiently, allowing us to live fully and energetically. It’s not about our chronological age but about how we maintain our health and approach life’s challenges.
Adopting this perspective means recognising that it’s never too late to improve your health. Whether you’re in your 30s, 50s, or beyond, making positive lifestyle changes can lead to a more vibrant and fulfilling life.
I got my son interested in fitness when he was in his early teens, and now that he’s turned 20, it’s clear that he’s been bitten by the fitness bug. It’s truly wonderful to see a young person, whether male or female, building their physique early in life.
For Indians, this can be especially important, as we often have a disadvantage compared to some other races when it comes to building muscle easily. And when I say muscle, I’m not talking about the kind of bulk a bodybuilder might have—I mean the muscle strength that everyone needs, regardless of age.
The best approach is to start early in life, but if you haven’t, make it a top priority and start today. Consult a fitness coach or find guidance online, and follow through with dedication.
Ultimately, our well-being is shaped by our choices and attitudes, not just the passage of time. By focusing on self-care and embracing a proactive approach to health, we can enjoy a dynamic and enriching life, no matter our age.

To rekindle love with the same person is to engage not with the individual afresh but with the echoes of memories. This profound realisation speaks to the heart’s intrinsic tendency to seek comfort in the familiar, often failing to distinguish between past and present.
When you attempt to fall in love a second time with the same person, it is not the person themselves that you are drawn to, but rather the nostalgic recollections of who they once were in your life. The heart, in its yearning, seeks not the present reality but the cherished illusions of the past. This longing is similar to chasing a mirage, where the closer you believe you are to reclaiming that love, the further you drift from the truth of the now.
Memories hold a powerful sway over us. They encapsulate moments of joy, connection, and intimacy, making them seem far more vibrant than the reality might have been. Everyone changes in life. Their looks, likes, dislikes, attitudes, expectations from others, and overall philosophy of life keep changing. When a person endeavours to rediscover a lost love, the truth is that they are not engaging with the person as they are in the present moment, with all their growth, changes, and complexities. Instead, they entwine themselves with the shadows of what once was, rather than the essence of what is.
This pursuit is fraught with peril. It sets us on a path where the idealised past overshadows the potential of the present. The beauty of memory lies in its ability to preserve moments, yet its danger resides in its capacity to imprison us within them. By constantly looking backwards, we risk missing the opportunities for genuine connection and growth that exist in the present.
To truly understand the nature of love is to recognise its fluidity. Love is not a static entity that can be perfectly recaptured once lost; it is an evolving force that thrives in the present moment. Embracing this perspective allows us to honour our memories, all of which are learning experiences, without becoming enslaved by them, and opening ourselves to the possibility of new experiences and deeper connections.
In the end, the quest to fall in love again with the same person teaches us a poignant lesson: the past, with all its beauty and pain, should be cherished but not clung to. The essence of true love lies in its ability to adapt, to grow, and to find beauty in the present, rather than in the shadows of what once was.

Exploring the Profound Wisdom of Sage Ashtavakra in the Ashtavakra Gita
For those unfamiliar with Sage Ashtavakra and the profound teachings of the Ashtavakra Gita, let’s embark on a journey into the depths of Advaita Vedanta—the yoga of knowledge—as instructed to King Janaka by Sage Ashtavakra.
Introduction to Sage Ashtavakra and the Ashtavakra Gita Sage Ashtavakra, whose name means “eight bends,” was a SELF-realised saint and sage, despite physical deformities. The Ashtavakra Gita, a dialogue between Sage Ashtavakra and King Janaka, stands as a beacon of advanced Advaita Vedanta wisdom.
Body as the Temple of the Supreme SELF As Sage Ashtavakra unveils timeless wisdom, he emphasises that the physical body is a temple of the Supreme SELF. The realisation that the SELF or Atman remains unaffected by the body’s appearance clears common notions.
King Janaka’s Spiritual Journey King Janaka, a seeker despite worldly success, had two gurus – Ashtavakra and Yajnavalkya. His story exemplifies that SELF-realisation transcends external circumstances.
Ashtavakra Gita’s Twenty Chapters The Ashtavakra Gita comprises twenty chapters, each containing potent verses that impart pure wisdom and offer transformative insights.
Shlokas from the First Chapter – ‘Sakshi’ Exploring the Shlokas from the First Chapter, we delve into Janaka’s inquiry and Sage Ashtavakra’s profound responses. The verses guide us towards understanding knowledge, liberation, and the state of renunciation.
The Earthen Pot Analogy Drawing parallels with the space inside and outside a pot, Ashtavakra illustrates the all-encompassing nature of the SELF. This analogy beautifully conveys the omnipresence of the Ultimate Reality.
The Joyful Contact with Brahman Krishna’s words in the Bhagavad Gita highlight the yogi’s blissful contact with Brahman. This contact, similar to our constant connection with space, symbolises the pervasive nature of the SELF.
Realisation of ‘Aham Brahmasmi’ The seeking culminates in realising ‘Aham Brahmasmi’ or ‘I (the SELF and not my ego) am Brahman’– the highest state of subjective awareness and oneness with the all-pervading reality.
Shlokas from the Mandukya Upanishad affirm the omnipresence of the Self. Realizing that ‘Tat Tvam Asi’ (You are THAT) brings an end to the seeker’s journey.
Conclusion Sage Ashtavakra’s teachings, echoed through the Ashtavakra Gita, and the timeless wisdom of the Vedas and Upanishads, guide a seeker towards the ultimate realisation—the oneness of the individual SELF with the Supreme Reality.
The delusion of duality leads to the belief in deities, ‘gods’, ‘godmen and godwomen, and other non-existent elemental beings, and also to the fear of them. Dualistic beliefs likewise lead to the ‘your ‘god” and ‘my god” problem, leading to animosity among people. May the wisdom of Ashtavakra illuminate your path and help you steer your way out of the mental delusion of duality, meaningless practices in the name of religion or pseudo-bhakti, and the ‘fear of ‘god”, and lead you towards realising the all-pervasiveness of the Supreme Brahman personified as Bhagavan Shri Krishna.
Stay blessed on your spiritual journey.
Jai Shri Krishna.
