2. Kill Fear and Anger

श्रीभगवानुवाच |
कुतस्त्वा कश्मलमिदं विषमे समुपस्थितम् |
अनार्यजुष्टमस्वर्ग्यमकीर्तिकरमर्जुन || २ २ ||
sri bhagavan uvaacha
kutas tvaa kashmalam idam
vishame samupasthitham
anaarya jushtam asvargyam-
akiirti karam arjuna (SBG 2:02)

The Supreme Bhagavan said: O Arjuna, where, in this hour of crisis, did these qualities like weakness, which are unbecoming of honourable men, come from and take over you? Such qualities will prevent you from reaching higher levels in life and will also ruin
your honour and get you a bad reputation. (SBG 2:02)

I am the Self, O Gudakesha (Arjuna), situated in the hearts of all living entities.

maame vaishyasi satyam te
prati-jaane priyo’si me (SBG 18:65)

Fix your mind on Me, always think of Me, be devoted to Me, sacrifice unto Me, and you shall come to Me. This is My promise to you, as you are dear to Me. (18:65)

buddhiyogam-upaashritya
macchittaha satatam bhava (SBG 18:57)

Using the Yoga of your intellect, dedicate all your actions to Me, have Me as your highest goal, devote yourself intensely to Me and you will always be under My protection. Be fully conscious of Me all the time. (18:57)

taasaam brahma mahadyonir-aham
beeja-pradaha pitaa (SBG 14:04)

For all species born, and all forms produced, O Arjuna, the great Brahma is their womb, and I am the seed-giving Father. (14:04)

O Arjuna, Nature or the great Brahma is like My womb in which I place the impulse of creation, out of which everything comes into being. (14:03)

yoga-kshemam vahaamy–aham (SBG 9:22)

Those who worship Me with a fixed mind and constantly meditate on Me are assured that the burden of the acquisition and preservation of their needs will be carried by Me. (SBG 9:22)

आस्थितः स हि युक्तात्मा मामेवानुत्तमां गतिम् || ७ १८ ||
udaaraaha sarva evaite
jnaanee tvaat-maiva me matam
aasthitaha sa hi yuktaatmaa
maame vaan-uttamaam gatim (SBG 7:18)

While I consider every devotee to be virtuous, I regard the self-realised devotee as My own Self because his ultimate goal is attaining Me and his mind is fully focussed on Me.
