yathaidhaamsi samiddho’gnir-
bhasmasaath-kurute’rjuna
gnyaanaagnih sarvakarmaaNi

Just as a blazing fire burns wood used as fuel into ashes, O Arjuna, the fire of knowledge burns all actions and reactions or Karma into ashes. (SBG 4:37)

When the one that dwells in the body, transcends the three Gunas, out of which the body evolved, he is freed from birth, disease, death, old age and misery; and attains immortality. (SBG 14:20)

This vast collectivity of beings is born, again and again, O Arjuna. In the night, it helplessly dissolves, and at dawn, it comes into being again.

tasmaat-sarvaaNi bhuutaani

The soul which is inside everybody can never be destroyed, O Arjuna. Therefore, you have no reason to grieve for any being. (SBG 2:30)

For one who is born, death is certain; and after death, rebirth is certain. Hence, you should not grieve for this inevitable truth. (SBG 2:27)

atha chainam nitya-jaatam
nityam vaa manyase mrtam
tathaapi tvam mahaa baaho
nainam shochitum arhasi (SBG 2:26)
Nonetheless, even if you think that the soul is in a cycle of life and death, that is, it is born, and dies perpetually, you should not be grieving like this. (SBG 2:26)

The Self is said to be formless, inconceivable and immutable. Hence, knowing this, you should not grieve. (SBG 2:25)
