Strange as it may sound, people who are broke are actually directly responsible for their messy financial situations. It could be because of some wrong choice or choices they had made in the past. But usually, the primary reason for such situations is that they don’t believe that they ‘deserve’ to be rich and affluent.
Most self-made millionaires and billionaires have have one thing in common – they really believed in what they were passionately doing and WANTED to achieve success. Day in and day out, they would dream and visualise their life after achieving success in their goals. Once they achieved the wealth, they didn’t flaunt it and hence it not only stayed with them but also increased many folds. Warren Buffet still lives in the same house he lived in before he got all that rich. My good friend from Rajasthan says ‘Lakshmiji ko parde ke peeche rakhnaa chaahiye’, which in other words means, it is not advisable to flaunt one’s wealth.
I have written in an earlier post – ‘That split second moment’ that the subconscious mind understands neither language nor logic. It only understands images. People who are not doing well, are normally surrounded by others who are not successful and their subconscious mind is bombarded with negative thoughts all day. We hear people telling us to stop dreaming and to aim at ‘saadaa jeevan ucch vichaar’ (सादा जीवन उच्च विचार) (simple life and high thinking) instead. It is easier to live a simple life than to get rich and to live an affluent life. Most people are subconsciously afraid of success because it can completely change their lives. I have come across many young people, who did not take up the amazing opportunities they got in another country or city only because they had to ‘leave’ their friends behind!
Everyone works in order to earn money. Having sufficient money and wealth usually makes anyone happy. Wealth is something to be happy about, and its arrival has to be celebrated.
Followers of the Sanatana Dharma personify wealth and prosperity in the form of Goddess Mahalakshmi. She can provide as well as take away wealth within moments. Visualising a powerful Goddess of wealth helps in training the mind to think, behave and become rich. A person who has decided to get rich must stay away from pessimists. A pessimist says, ‘I can’t’ and an optimist says, ‘I can’ and guess what – both are right!
Dreaming is extremely important. It is the beginning of everything man made. All great creations began as someone’s dream. But during the process of dreaming, ‘Intelligence, logic and common sense are uninvited guests! Dreaming of the impossible requires courage.’ That’s it – Courage to dream and to BELIEVE in one’s dreams.

3. Listen to the Mantras and meditate on Sri Mahalakshmi.
4.Visualise wealth, abundance, gold, cash, properties, vehicles. Also visualise yourself at the feet of Sri Mahalakshmi.
5. It takes about 11 minutes. Do it every morning for at least 41 days at a stretch.
