Welcome to a journey of SELF-discovery and true understanding. Before you dive into the contents of this blog, I have a few suggestions that will help you get the most out of this experience.

Enter with an Open Mind: Whatever your beliefs, religion, or personal philosophy, the first requirement is to enter with an open mind. This blog is not about preaching any belief system or religion. It’s a place to find your true SELF, which for many has been obscured by beliefs, fears, inhibitions, and superstitions.

Understanding the Srimad Bhagavad Gita: The Srimad Bhagavad Gita is not a religious book; it contains no commandments nor enforces any beliefs. It is a dialogue between Arjuna, representing us common people, and Krishna, the divine intelligence within each of us. I, personally, call it the perfect ‘Mind Management Manual.’

Krishna concludes the discourse by saying: “I have taught you the secret wisdom, which is deeper than all that is confidential and profound. Reflect fully on what I have declared to you, and do what you wish to do.” This Shloka SBG 18:63 alone shows that the Srimad Bhagavad Gita is about SELF-reflection, choice, and SELF-Realisation, and certainly not blind belief. The Srimad Bhagavad Gita can be considered the necatr of the Upanishads, which are the pinnacle of the Vedas.

Steps to Begin Your Journey To make it easy for anyone to embark on the path to Self-realisation, I suggest two simple steps:

Step 1: Acquire Fundamental Knowledge of the Vedas and Vedanta

Step 2: Study the Srimad Bhagavad Gita

The best and quickest path would be my latest publication: The Ever-Relevant Gita: A Present-Day Rendering by Tavamithram Sarvada. If you wish to receive a free promo code offer in return for your ratings and feedback on the Audiobooks.com webstore, send your request to tavamithramoffice@gmail.com along with a brief message describing yourself and your interest in studying this life-changing scripture.

Advancing in the Study of Advaita Vedanta: After completing the first two steps, you’ll find yourself at a new level of understanding, ready to grasp the ancient teachings of Advaita Vedanta. This philosophy does not involve concepts of gods, deities, beliefs, rewards, or punishments as seen in many religions.

Exploring the Blog: You may then proceed to the Blog Posts or All Posts page, browse, and start reading the published posts listed there.

I am not a religious preacher or a ‘spiritual guru’. As my pseudonym suggests, I am a friend with no conditions. Having experienced the major ups and downs of life, I have dedicated over three decades to the study of philosophy. This has positioned me to simplify complex concepts and explain them to seekers in a way that is easy to understand, imbibe, and use to change their lives for the better. My studies include the Prasthana Trayi scriptures, namely the Srimad Bhagavad Gita, over 26 Upanishads, the Brahma Sutras, the Bhashyas of Shri Adi Shankara, Prakarana Granthas, Stotras, several Puranas, and, of course, scriptures of important organised religions of the world.

You may visit the About and Profile pages on this blog and then return to this page to start with the first step given above.

I wish you all the very best on the life-changing path of seeking the knowledge of the Self and attaining the mental state of Self-realisation, which is the highest stage of attainment, as stated by Shri Krishna in Shloka SBG 2:46, which states: “For a man of SELF-realisation, the purpose served by the Vedas is as much as what a small well does when it is flooded everywhere.”
