The Coronavirus – a social meliorist?

When there is a fear of death, people generally suspend all the conditions and reservations they might have in life and do everything possible to stay alive. This fear is so strong that in the event that the risk of dying is high, even powerful people ignore masking it before others. Western people, for example, who are so proud of their social traditions of expressing love through physical contact either by hugging or kissing, are now experiencing major changes in their social practices.

Important people of the world such as President Trump, Prime Minister Netanyahu, Chancellor Merkel, President Macron, Prince Phillip, the king of Spain and others have taken to greeting people with folded hands and a ‘Namaste’. No one wants to die  – at least for now. In fact, almost everyone suffers from varying degrees of thanatophobia, which is the fear of dying or being dead. It fundamentally stems from one’s attachment to their impermanent physical being and the lack of ample understanding that the body is temporary and short-lived but the SELF, that occupies a body during a lifetime, is indestructible and permanent.

The health and the duration of the existence of the short-lived perishable body, which is the temporary abode of the SELF, completely depends on how well it is cared for. According to Dharmic culture, the body is called a temple of Divinity. The Oxford English Dictionary defines the term ‘temple’, which basically means a place of worship, as ‘a building used for the worship of a god or gods, especially in religions other than Christianity.’ However, the term ‘temple’ can be translated in a couple of Indian languages as follows:

  • Devalaaya and Devaalayam (house of God) ದೇವಾಲಯ and దేవాలయం
  • Devasthaana and Devasthaanam (place of God) ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನ  and దేవస్థానం
  • Koil (House of the king – ko – il) கோயில்

Although most of the followers of the Sanatana Dharma are aware that Brahman is omnipresent, a place which has been consecrated as a temple of God is highly venerated and kept clean at all times.

In Shloka 13:02 of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita, Krishna says,

क्षेत्रज्ञं चापि मां विद्धि सर्वक्षेत्रेषु भारत |
क्षेत्रक्षेत्रज्ञयोर्ज्ञानं यत्तज्ज्ञानं मतं मम || १३ २ ||
SBG 13:02 You should know that the Kshetrajna or THE EMBODIED SELF IN ALL BODIES OR KSHETRAS IS ME, O Arjuna. Knowing about the Kshetra and the Kshetrajnas is called knowledge.

This is a clear statement of Krishna indicating that the SELF in all beings is none other than Him. Therefore, from the definition of the term ‘temple’ given above and based on Krishna’s statement that the SELF in all beings is Brahman or Krishna, it can be concluded that the body is His temple. Such being the case, the body deserves the respect and treatment that one would give a temple that is in the form of a stone edifice. Since Dharmic traditions accord utmost importance to maintaining personal hygiene and respecting the personal space of people, followers of the Sanatana Dharma, greet each other with folded hands saying ‘Namaste’, ‘Namaskar’, or ‘Vanakkam’, respecting their divinity and sanctity.

Cleanliness and purity are values that have been referred to in the Srimad Bhagavad Gita. The Sanskrit term used in the Srimad Bhagavad Gita to denote cleanliness is शौच – SHAUCHA. It is a rather interesting term because it has many meanings such as cleanliness, purity, purity of the mind, honesty and even integrity. Oxymoronic that it may sound, the Sanskrit term for toilet, which is ‘Shauchalaya’, literally means a place of cleanliness and purity. The emphasis on cleanliness and hygiene has always been extremely high in Dharmic traditions. The term ‘Shaucha’ has been used multiple times in the Srimad Bhagavad Gita which indicates how intrinsically the concepts of cleanliness and purity are intertwined in the fabric of Dharmic culture. The term ‘Shaucha’ can be found in the Shlokas 13:07, 16:03, 16:07, 17:14 and 18:42.

Demographic and political influences cause massive cultural syncretisation in human societies, which force people to drift far away from their own time tested traditions that were created by their forefathers over generations. In the case of Indians, particularly young ones, it is the lack of the proper passing down of Dharmic family traditions as well as pseudo-westernisation that have greatly contributed towards such cultural decadence. Krishna said in the Srimad Bhagavad Gita that whenever there is an imbalance in the society, He would manifest Himself. Relating what he said to the current Coronavirus situation, His words may be interpreted as acts of nature that happen from time to time only in order to set things right. SBG 4:07-08

Since many millennia, Indian people, who belong to the oldest, most ancient yet constantly evolving civilisation of the world, have been subjected to brutal attempts of barbaric foreign forces that conquered large masses of people and ruled over them using their pernicious religions as mass mind control systems. One of the elements of their modus operandi has been to get indigenous people to detest their own culture in order to prepare them mentally to accept the new dogma taught by those marauders and soul vultures. Another social disease that joined the list of agents provocateurs that caused Dharmic Indians to look down upon their own philosophy, culture and traditions is what is known as ‘Macaulayism’. This formed the foundation of the dreaded social malady of pseudo-westernisation with which many young Indians have been affected.

The Coronavirus crisis, which seems to be a balancing act of nature, is an event that not only reminds people how vulnerable, impermanent and inconsequential their physical existence in this world is, no matter how rich, educated or good looking they might be, but also teaches them the need to prioritise paying topmost attention to the health and hygiene of themselves and of others. It validates the philosophy behind general Dharmic social customs. Before the arrival of plunderers, mass murderers, conquerors and colonisers, India or Bharat Varsha, was known to be the Vishvaguru or Teacher of the world. It is high time for India to regain the status that is rightfully hers. As the Coronavirus has already triggered the process by inducing important people of the world to take the lead and follow Indian traditions, others should soon follow suit.

Many countries are under lockdown at least for the next few weeks. Just as an optimist sees opportunity in every difficulty as against a pessimist who sees the difficulty in every opportunity, we too can decide to make use of this time to reset our lives as if there were a reset button that we could press and turn everything back to how it was in the beginning.

Although it is a time of protecting ourselves from infection and avoiding playing a part in spreading the virus, it is, thanks to the fact that most of us are indoors, a curative period of time for mending things and invigorating ourselves. The mending and restoration can be of physical health, of disturbances in the mind or of troubles in relationships with others.

Below is an adumbration of ideas and suggestions for people who would like to treat their precious time during the current situation as a boon contrary to dreading it or calling it a bane.

Making optimal use of time

  • Make use of this time to interact more with your family members.
  • Increase the amount of reading you do.
  • Find videos on YouTube that teach you home workouts and use them to stay fit.
  • Search the Internet for vegan culinary ideas, recipes and diets and should you be an omnivorous person, consider using this time to comfortably evolve towards a life of plant-based eating and living.
  • Work on your hobbies or develop new ones.
  • Those of you who have children in the family, spend more time with them, shower them with love and attention, help them with their schoolwork and teach them values that will guide them through their future.
  • If you have pets, show them too how much you love them and make them feel safe and secure.
  • Introspect and do a thorough self-analysis by making two separate lists of all your qualities that you feel are good and of those you feel are undesirable.

Focus on personal as well as social habits

  • Maintain personal hygiene. Shower at least twice a day and clean yourselves well.
  • Always wear clean clothes.
  • Pay attention to what you send down your oesophagus. All known seven Coronaviruses are zoonotic, meaning they are transmitted between animals and people. Make sure that you do not ingest carcasses, bones, blood or other fluids from animals. I personally find it disgusting to consume meat, eggs or even dairy products which are basically made from pus containing mammary secretions of animals.
  • Respect the personal space of people, avoid shaking unsanitised hands with strangers or touching them unnecessarily. A polite and respectful ‘Namaste’ should do.
  • Whether you already have or have not read the Srimad Bhagavad Gita, do it now. You may make use of our TVM Gita site and my audiobook, EBooks or paperback books.
  • Respect life, Respect nature. Remember that a plant-based diet is a result of evolution in human dietary habits.

Let us take a resolution to respect the values that our great forefathers gave us. It was they who faced it all, stood tall, developed the great Sanatana Dharma and left it for us so that we may live a healthy, peaceful, happy, rewarding, fulfilling and Karmically beneficial life.

Stay safe, healthy, peaceful, thankful and abundantly blessed.

“Graduation Day” for Vrischikans

Namaste Vrischikans.

People born who under the Vrischika Rashi (Scorpio), are known for their analytical mind and inherent qualities such as honesty, intelligence, courage, kindness, generosity, strong reasoning powers, a magnetic personality, leadership skills, high energy, speed and determination. However, just as even priceless pieces of jewellery need to be polished once in a while in order for their shine to be protected, people also need to undergo periods of honing and refinement – once in about three decades.

Your period of honing and polishing is over, for now, as today is the last day of either your first, second or third Sadé Sati in this Janma of yours. From tomorrow onwards, you have neither any reason nor excuse to prevent yourself from marching ahead.

Bhagavan Krishna said to Arjuna: SBG 18:63 “I have taught you the secret wisdom which is deeper than all that is confidential and profound. Reflect fully on what I have declared to you and do what you wish to do.”
Similarly, your Sadé Sati must have taught you many numerous invaluable vital lessons regarding the philosophy of life. Follow them and continue to be the good people you always have been.

You are unstoppable. Go for it. Attain great victory and happiness. Stay blessed.

SBG 11:33 “Therefore, get up and attain glory. Conquer your enemies and enjoy a prosperous kingdom. All these warriors have already been destroyed by Me. You are merely an instrument, O Arjuna the ambidextrous one.”

Jai Shri Krishna

PS: This is for people who write to me directly. You are most welcome to send me mails but since the number of emails I receive is quite large, it might not be possible for me to reply to each and every one of you. I would appreciate if you could write on the forum because by doing so, our communication would be useful to others too. Should you have concerns about privacy, you may use initials or a pseudonym, as many already do, and conceal your identity on a public forum. The time I spend to reply to one mail when spent on replying to a post on the forum could be beneficial to others too. Let us all continue to be generous in sharing our knowledge, experience and positive energy with each other.

The Third Phase of Sadé Sati for Dhanu Rashians – Sagittarius

Lessons from the Guru Transit 2024

17.01.2023 – THE LAST DAY OF YOUR SADÉ SATI

Just in case any of you is thinking that tomorrow onwards your life will suddenly become a bed of roses – YOU ARE WRONG. Those who utilised the last 7-9 years since they started experiencing downfalls, to unlearn all the ridiculous nonsense with which they had been mentally conditioned, will be the ones who will begin to see such major changes that they would be deeply grateful for the Sadé Sati period. Others might have to wait until the next Sadé Sadi period and make sure to not waste the golden opportunity again.

Anyway, like I have said in the main Sadé Sati page, I do not propound irrational stuff like the planet Saturn is punishing you for your sins and so on. It so happens that everyone requires a reset button in their life, before pressing which, they need to be taught what is good and not good for them. The Sad´Sati is indeed such a period.

I would say that even now it is not late. Those of you who have not cared to study the Srimad Bhagavad Gita and understand Cause and Effect to be the main principle of all events in life might want to do it now. Look for Bhagavad Gita resources on this site and if you wish you may contact me by email.

JUST FORGET ASTROLOGY! I have said a hundred times that Vedic Astrology is a great tool for getting a general idea of the patterns in one’s life. THAT’S ALL! Sadé Sati is in fact a GREAT PERIOD to learn, improve, and evolve. I see that people are actually addicted to reading the same predictions every day! No! That is not my objective in running this site! – I am not here to drag you all with astrology, and lead you deeper and deeper into ignorance that is already troubling you! Look, my main objective is to destroy all the nonsense that is being spread by all these fake babas and gurus who take total advantage of the masses and sell you idiotic stories.

I HELP PEOPLE LEARN VEDANTA, which is THE HIGHEST STAGE IN SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT.

CLICK HERE FOR THE ENTIRE PLAYLIST OF THE 100 SBG SHLOKAS FREE COURSE with translations in SEVEN LANGUAGES. You will never find anything like this on the internet.

By the way, how many of you have been reading the same post every day, and have also taken the Vedanta and Srimad Bhagavad Gita Courses on my YouTube Channel and on Udemy?

How many have bought my latest book – ‘Capture the Essence – Srimad Bhagavad Gita’ ?

I have been striving so sincerely to show everyone such an easy path towards a better life through a better state of mind. However, still, most people simply refuse to study, learn, and evolve but continue to remain convinced that planet Saturn is causing them challenges! No. Planets are not the ones causing any trouble in your life, but it is you and no other who is doing it. Vedic astrology indicates patterns in a person’s life, which sensible people quickly pick up and make changes in their lives.

Evolve and improve your life.

Capture the Essence – Srimad Bhagavad Gita

Studying the Srimad Bhagavad Gita and internalising Krishna’s core teachings couldn’t get any simpler than this.

Dear visitors,

As promised, here are the contents of this page again. I did receive some emails requesting me to put the page back.

In your own interest, I would ask you to please pay attention to what I am going to write below.

I spent quite a few hours studying and researching to create the content of this page for Dhanu Rashians. Just as it has been with most of my predictions, a number of people have reverted to me and have given me their feedback saying that things happened in their lives almost exactly as per my predictions published on this page. But let me tell you that that does not mean the predictions given on this page will apply to all Dhanu Rashians. It is merely a generalised report for all those born under this particular Rashi.

That being said, I would like to repeat what I always say – PLANETS OR DEITIES OR WHATEVER, DO NOT DO ANYTHING TO ANYONE. If you went to a Saturn temple and poured litres of oil on the ‘vigraha’, you might feel better, but that will have zero influence on you or on your life.

Vedic Astrology gives an indication of the possible trends and events in a person’s life, but that does not mean that one should develop a habit of fatalism. It should be treated more than a ‘Karma diagnostic tool’. Those who find solace in reading Astro predictions every day will surely get addicted to it and lose all interest in life. Save yourself from such a situation, PLEASE!

‘Necessity is the mother of invention,’ and similarly, the Sade Sati period usually ushers in a highly challenging period which should actually be used by people to achieve the following:

  • shed false ego
  • improve patience
  • work on physical fitness
  • practise simplicity and frugality
  • develop compassion and forgiveness
  • work on social responsibility by helping others in any way possible
  • completely giving up the consumption of animal products and disconnecting yourself from any kind of cruelty towards animals

and above all,

  • GET CREATIVE!

99.99% of the people under Sade Sati want their ‘old life’ back. Why? What for? Stop such thoughts! Why do you want the same life back? Would you say ‘no’ to a better life? The desire to ‘have the old life’ back can sometimes hamper one’s mental energy to reach something much higher, which destiny actually has in store for them.

You may try to understand the above-mentioned topics by reading my other posts on Karma, Sadé Sati, etc.

The greatest favour you could do to yourself, at least during the Sadé Sat period, would be to USE THE DOWNTIME and EQUIP YOURSELF TO GET READY  for The NEXT CHAPTER IN YOUR LIFE.

Do not miss or neglect anything I post on this page, be it videos, snippets or whatever. Please remember that I am a Vrischika Rashian, which is one sign before yours. Vrischika happens to be the sign that ‘gets the hardest hit’ in Sade Sati. It is because the moon is at its lowest in this sign. That being the case, you must have guessed the intensity of the challenges that I might have faced during the SS period. Whatever I say here is from sheer experience. I can warn you of potholes on the road because I have already passed through them, but paying heed to what I say or not totally depends on you.

You must have heard the saying, ‘Communist until you get rich, feminist until you get married, and atheist until your plane starts falling.’ I am not giving you any childish advice such as ‘believe in god’, ‘go to the temple on Fridays’, and so on, or I am not even asking you to believe in anyone or in anything. But I would surely tell you that since now your plane has started falling, wake up from your ignorance, and first start trying to find out who you are.

Being a teacher of Vedanta, which is the highest and ultimate stage of all the Vedas, I never give any senseless or ‘adharmic’ advice to people. But the first step I ask everyone to clear is to study the Srimad Bhagavad Gita. No, I do not mean attending Satsangs, chanting by heart the Shlokas of the SBG,  or reading some verses and their funny translations at ‘WhatsApp university’, and so on, but I mean actually understanding at least its fundamental principles, which have been heavily and brutally altered by many organisations.

You may begin with my SBG Run-through video and then go for my audiobooks and e-books in which I have given simple, and easy-to-read and understandable English translations. The best would be if you took the detailed A.G.E. (A Gita Experience) course that I have published on Udemy. You can find all those details on the SBG resources that you will find in the Menu.

Please, take things seriously. Sadé Sati is NOT A CURSE, but an AWESOME OPPORTUNITY TO IMPROVE AND BE YOUR BEST. If you pass this stage well, believe me, just as in my case, there will soon be a time when you will actually be THANKFUL for Sadè Sati.

I would appreciate it if you could share your experiences and your thoughts in the comments section below. Another thing from my experience that I would like to say is that sharing thoughts and ideas with others can be greatly refreshing and enlightening. You can be sure that no pessimism, brooding, or complaining is appreciated on this site because the main purpose is to gain and share knowledge and sheer mental power and energy.

Krishna said in Shloka 4:37 of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita: “Just as a blazing fire burns wood used as fuel into ashes, O Arjuna, knowledge burns KARMA or all actions and reactions due to material activities, into ashes.”

Remember, Karma does not die down on its own, or through chanting Mantras or breaking coconuts at temples. You need to either undergo it, balance it with positive Karma, and/or BURN or DELETE it through Vedantic Knowledge.

You decide.

NO PLANET, NO DEITY, OR NO ONE IS DOING ANYTHING TO YOU TO DAMAGE YOUR LIFE! STOP LIVING IN A STATE OF SUPERSTITION AND DELUSION! THE SOLUTION IS NOT OUTSIDE YOU BUT WITHIN YOU. WHAT YOU NEED TO CHANGE IS THE WAY YOU THINK, AND YOUR LIFE WILL AUTOMATICALLY CHANGE. THAT WHICH CAN HELP YOU ACHIEVE ALL THAT YOU WANT IS STUDYING THE SRIMAD BHAGAVAD GITA. WHY WAIT UNTIL YOU TURN 60 TO STUDY THE LIFE-CHANGING SCRIPTURE?!

Please come out of the delusion that planets are causing you troubles or god is ‘testing you’.  I hope you have read my explanation about what Sadé Sati is and how to make use of the period to improve oneself and make rapid progress in the process of one’s Karmic evolution.

Vedic Astrology is a way to understand the kind of patterns one may tend to have in their life. It is simply Karma diagnosis and nothing more than that. Too much astrology will turn people into miserable failures.

HERE IS MY SRIMAD BHAGAVAD GITA COURSE FOR YOU. THE TIME AND EFFORT YOU INVEST IN IT WILL BE THE GREATEST INVESTMENT IN YOUR LIFE.

WHY ME?

If you are a Dhanu Rashian (Sagittarius) and if this is a question that has been crossing your mind often, please go to the end of this article and watch the video titled ‘Karma and the ‘Why me?’ question’

NEW POST

Click here THE HAPPINESS SWITCH – A REFRESHER

Karma and the “Why me?” question
“मैं ही क्यों?” “Why me?” (in Hindi) पिछले जन्मों के कर्मों से निपटने का रास्ता क्या है?
“கடவுளே! நான் என்ன பாவம் செய்தேன்?”

*What is Sadé Sati? What is Karma? (Opens in a new tab)

*The Principle of (Karma) Diagnosis and Cure (Opens in a new tab)

Always remember that the general predictions you read on the net are literally general. Each person’s past Karma can be understood only by decoding and analysing individual features of their chart, but the question is, why would one want to waste time to do it or learn it unless one would like to become an astrologer or add one more feather of knowledge in their cap? There is an easier way to have a better life – Study the Srimad Bhagavad Gita, comprehend the natural principle of Cause and Effect, and write your own destiny.

My personal advice to you people who, despite such sane advice cannot stop yourselves from going to astrological sites/blogs and reading astrological predictions, would be to read them, derive positive energy from them and move on to build your destiny, which you are creating with every thought, word and deed every moment of your life. Your present is a result of your past and your future will be the result of your present. It is simple logic.

We shall now move on to the general predictions for  Dhanu Rashians (Moon sign of Sagittarius)
Archer01

Let me make you feel comfortable before you read any further. The third phase of Sadé Sati for you Dhanu Rashians will certainly not be as challenging as it has been for you in the 1st and 2nd  phases and as it has been for Vrischikans in all the three phases. You may heave a sigh of relief and continue reading.

The 3rd, 6th and 9th houses are generally considered auspicious for Saturn but in your case, although Saturn will be positioned in the 2nd house for the next almost three years, you will notice that the lessons you learned in the last five years will help you stay stable minded and take wise decisions. This period is predicted to be much better than the last two phases of your Sadé Sati. However, please remember very clearly to ensure that you have all the qualities associated with Saturn, which are, honesty, hygiene, discipline, truthfulness, hard work,  charity and other such noble virtues. Hence, the more modest, kind, generous, large-hearted, helpful and charitable you are; the more Divine Support will you experience. Some people who are in trouble say that they would start helping others when they are better off. This attitude does not necessarily attract Divine Grace because it has selfish overtones. A person who has experienced great shocking incidents, challenges, insults and other such upheavals as well as reversals, is bound to have become wiser and therefore can not only think more calmly and make smarter decisions but can also help others in need of support.

Some of you who might be tempted to go to babas or astrologers who offer ‘remedies’ for the ill effects of Saturn might want to comprehend that doing so amounts to fraud and corruption, and settling the new negative Karma collected through such means could take you multiple Janmas to clear. (Please read ‘Spiritual Corruption, Corruption in Spirituality and Trade-Offs with Gods’)

The logical ways to balance Karma are to bear the brunt without complaining, and adding more positive Karma to ‘outweigh’ past negative Karma. If acts of penance and undertaking gruelling pilgrimages to temples, which are hard to reach could solve problems for people, all those who live in such temple towns should be extremely happy, healthy and opulent people with no monetary problems at all. As I always do, I repeat that the Shloka 18:66  of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita contains the secret and also the entire philosophy of righteous living. Follow Krishna’s teachings and you will never have to bother to read such astrological predictions in your life any more. Stay modest, truthful, unselfish, kind, compassionate, nature-loving, generous, ready to learn, ready to help and ready for anything any time, and you will see those negative qualities such as ego, sadness, fear, anger, hatred or jealousy never take over your mind again. The Divinity in you will guide you, lead you and will also make you a guide for others.

24.01.2020 09:55 Hrs IST. Saturn transits into Capricorn and remains in the Uttara Ashada (Uttiradam star) for a period of 108 days. Saturn will be in the house of Capricorn along with Sun which is the lord of your 9th house. This indicates luck, wealth, improvement in business, gaining back lost honour, profits due to the 10th aspect of Saturn and an overall increase in courage. Through righteous thoughts, words and actions, you should be able to reset the course of your life towards the right destination.

11.05.2020 05.30 Hrs. Saturn goes retrograde for a period of 140 days until 09:30 hrs 29.09.2020. It is said that when Saturn goes retrograde in the third phase of Sadé Sati, it would indicate a favourable time for you. So this means that this period of four months and 20 days could only be better than the previous period of 108 days.

29.09.2020 09:31 hrs to 22.01.2021. During these 115 days. Saturn goes direct after being retrograde and traverses through the stages of Uttara Ashada star in Capricorn. The previous 140 days would have benefited the native which will help them coast through this period. It would be like a cyclist who stops pedalling while riding downhill. However, the fact that Guru and Ketu are in the Rashi or first house indicates that there is more Karma to be settled. Planetary movements are patterns which indicate different stages in the Karmic evolution of people but each individual has their own Karma which only they can balance. Therefore my personal advice to all would be to be open and ready for anything any time; which is the secret of my happiness and utter fearlessness in my life. Nevertheless, we can say that the first year of the 3rd phase of Sadé Sati should be much better than the 2nd phase of your Sadé Sati and will help you in greatly reducing the stress in life.

On 22.01.2021 at 05:30 hrs, Saturn goes direct to the Shravana or Thiruvonam star which is ruled by the moon, although remaining in Makara or Capricorn until 23.05.2021. Sun is the lord of the house of luck (9th house Bhagyasthaana) for Dhanu Rashians. In Karmic terms, luck can be defined as the factor which originates in one’s past good Karma. This is the time when all the good you did in the past will fructify into Karmic rewards in the forms of protection, unexpected help from others, loan waivers. Vedic Astrology calls Saturn the one who delivers and maintains justice. This means that even a small act of goodness you might have done in the past will be rewarded for in this period.

However, the fact Moon is the lord of your 8th house receiving the aspect of Saturn indicates reduced positive effects of the luck factor mentioned above. This is no cause for worry simply because that period will anyhow be less stressful than what it is like for you at the moment. There might be small setbacks or delays in the things you do and wish to achieve but maintaining calmness in your mind, regular meditation and physical exercise can help you sail smoothly ahead.

23.05 to 11.10.2021. In the next period of four months and twenty days, Saturn goes retrograde again. Saturn continues in the Sharavana star moving from the 3rd ‘pada’ to the 1st ‘pada’ in retrograde motion. This period is predicted to be highly favourable to Dhanu Rashians. It indicates success, the gain of wealth, removal of obstacles in life, improvement in the lives of family members, You will also find ways to settle loans and legal issues that were bothering you earlier. This period is expected to be much better than the previous four months.

11.10.2021 to 18.02.2022. In this period, Saturn goes direct again and moves through Makara in the positive direction. This will be so for almost four months and ten days when Saturn traverses in direct motion through the Shravana or Thiruvonam star. There might be slight delays and you might experience impediments in the things you do but remember that they are temporary. Read the Shloka SBG 2:14 whenever you experience a feeling of being stifled at work. Stay calm and bear in mind that you have already crossed the most difficult part of the journey so this is nothing. Take extreme care to never lose your patience or temper. Anger can lead you to commit mistakes that cause damages which are irreparable.

18.02.2022 01:30 hrs to 29.04.2022 07:45 hrs. Saturn leaves the star of Shravana and enters the house of Dhanishta or Avittam of which, the lord is Mars who is also the lord of your 5th and 12th houses. This period of two months and ten days is a highly favourable position for you Dhanu Rashians. It indicates gains in business, property, career promotions, attaining higher levels in all that you do, and it also indicates that the native’s children, if any, will do very well in studies and in their career. It is a period when you will start sensing that you are going to be victorious in the field of your work.

29.04.2022 to 04.06.2022. Saturn transits direct from Capricorn to Aquarius, which is the 3rd house for Dhanu Rashians and is the other house ruled by Saturn. The general prediction for these 36 days is that it will be an excellent period. On 05.06.2022, which is the 37th day after Saturn’s moving into Aquarius, Saturn goes retrograde and returns to Capricorn until 12.07.2022 indicating that there could be a slight drop in the levels of positivity in your life but do not forget one very important fact – You are still under Sadé Sati. In this period, what can hurt you the most could be that things do not go as expected by you. The simple logical solution to this problem would be to not expect anything, at least in this period of 37 days. be happy with what you have and get better at your virtue of patience. Live this period as though nothing happened and simply float through it without worrying much about anything.

12.07.2022 to 23.10.2022. In this period, Saturn continues its retrograde motion in the 2nd house and remains here for a period of 103 days. This is predicted to be a highly favourable period for you. You will begin to sense that you are on the home stretch towards the end of your Sadé Sati. Major problems in your life will begin to simply vanish into thin air. There will be an improvement in your social standing. This period prepares the setting for the final stage of your Sadé Sati.that had turned your whole life topsy turvy.

23.10.2022 08:23hrs. Saturn goes direct again in Capricorn and remains there until 17.01.2023 when Saturn after entering Aquarius, will not return to Capricorn for the next almost three decades. This is the final stage of the 3rd phase of Sadé Sati for Dhanu Rashians. The last 87 days of the 3rd phase of Sadé Sati for Dhanu Rashians is when you will start getting back all that you lost in the last 6-8 years. It could be your respect in society, the properties you lost, and also some people who abandoned you.

To sum up, the first year of the 3rd phase of your Sadé Sati indicates the reduction of stress in life. The next period of one year is one that will have ups and downs but in the broader sense, it should be much better than your current situation. In the year 2022, Saturn moves into the Dhanishta star which is the star of the 5th house for Dhanu Rashians. The 5th house signifies, children, fortune, learning, optimism, pleasure, and general happiness.

grimpeur01

On 17.01.2023 you will end your Sadé Sati and will be headed towards a wonderful future, the brilliance of which will be directly proportionate to the way you courageously and gracefully faced as well as handled your challenges, which were nothing but phenomenal learning opportunities in your life and Karmic journey. Remember that when luck, which is the result of one’s own past good Karma, knocks their door, it cannot help a person who failed all his exams get a PhD or someone who never jumped into water become an expert swimmer. Everything depends on one’s past Karma that they have carried forward. Recall what I always say about the 60 20 20 principle that works in life – 60% of your destiny has already been written by you in the form of your past Karma. 20% of your fate has been written by you by your thoughts, words and deeds in the current Janma and 20 % of your destiny is still open which you can play around with by either adding more positive or negative Karma.

Now here is something that applies to everyone. Among the various Karmical evolutionary purposes of Sadé Sati, achieving the quality of modesty is the most important one. Doing so can guarantee the kind of exponential increase as I mentioned above in the areas of physical health, wealth, properties, vehicles, personal satisfaction in life, general happiness, gaining respect and honour in society, recognition by government authorities and other large organisations. Should your chart contain other positive and favourable planetary positions, the last 87 days of the 3rd phase of your Sadé Sati will be very good.

Based on what I learned from my own life as well as from the lives of all the people that I have interacted with so far, I would like to make a few suggestions. Please feel free to decide to follow them or not:

1. Read and understand the Srimad Bhagavad Gita. It would be great if you could learn to chant the Shlokas but I stress a lot on learning its philosophy for which, reading the English translation should help. The TVM Gita site, my Audiobook, as well as my EBook, can be of great help.

2. Print the Five Pearls and keep them with you always

#1 FAITH – Absolute Faith in Krishna and in oneself.
#2 GRATITUDE – An Attitude of Gratitude for everything.
#3 KNOWLEDGE and WORK – Your knowledge and the quality of your work
#4 VISION – A well-defined VISION for the future.
#5 SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY – Every thought and act of yours, count. Take responsibility for your own society.

3. My latest book ‘Capture the Essence – Srimad Bhagavad Gita’ in order to imbibe the core philosophy of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita.

4. Take the free course Learn 100 SBG Shlokas by heart.

Please continue to be the good people that you have always been and never allow challenges in life to corrupt your character. Be extremely careful and highly thoughtful when you say or do anything simply because, with everything you do, you are writing your own destiny. Your regular visits to this site and your participation in this venture of spreading knowledge and positive energy to people who are in need, are most welcome and will be greatly appreciated.

I wish you all Dhanu Rashians great strength and wisdom to successfully cross the 3rd phase of your Sadé Sati which is not expected to be as trying as it is said to be for Vrischikans. I sincerely wish you abundant Divine Blessings for a healthy, long, happy, love-filled, prosperous and fulfilling life.

Jai Shri Krishna

Post Sadesati Review

Why me EN TA HI 01

Namaste dear Vrischikans,

If you happen to be one of those Vrischikans who first came to this site and visited itthanks-3264252 regularly in order to derive positive energy, moral support as well as spiritual help because you were going through your Sadé Sati, I must say that the time to say goodbye has arrived. However, as long as I can and my destiny permits me, I will surely continue to do my work of spreading positive energy blessed with the knowledge of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita.

At last – the END of SADÉ SATI for Vrischikans
On 24.01.2020, Saturn transits into the house of Capricorn for a period of almost three years and will move further from there at 18:00 hrs of the 17th of January 2023. In this post, we shall be looking at the general predictions for Vrischikans (people born under the Lunar sign of Scorpio) for the period between 24.01.2020 and 17.01.2023.

The planet Saturn is generally associated with Karma, destiny, discipline, justice, righteousness, altruism, hard work, long-distance travels, new businesses, new beginnings, and so on.

thumb-328420_1920Those of you who are reading this could be the ones who have been experiencing great hardships and challenges in the last seven to ten years. The Sadé Sati period for Vrischikans started on 14.11.2011. It went through three phases during which, Saturn transited through Libra, Scorpio and Sagittarius. I learned from the thousands of people who contacted me through this site that compared to people of other lunar signs, Vrischikans were the ones who were the most badly hit during this so-called fateful period. Most of them tried to find solace in astrological sites hoping to read positive predictions for people born under the Lunar sign of Scorpio. They needed to convince themselves to hold on for some more time until things would get better. Some of the people who connected with me lamented about the untold miseries and losses they faced in their lives. You must be aware that I do not write about such matters on this site because doing so can only spread, fear, gloom, dejection and loss of self-confidence in people that, I, as a person who has stared into the eyes of death multiple times, have always wanted to help people fight against.

This blog/site was started by me in February 2014 just after I experienced an amazing miracle concerning my beloved son. I thought that on one hand, starting from 2011, I underwent massive setbacks in my business as well as in my health but on the other, thanks to the wonderful upbringing and spiritual training I have had apart from the extraordinarily amazing life that I have led so far; I developed a 100% positive attitude towards life. I decided to share with others this attitude of mine along with the fearlessness that I have always been blessed with.

scorpio01

Back then when I started this site, it had been around two years since Vrischikans had entered their Sadé Sati and most of them were under severe stress, both in their personal as well as in their professional lives. I would reply to hundreds of emails every week and counsel heavily distressed people every day and night. The total number of people who connected with me ran into thousands. There have been people who contacted me minutes before jumping off a bridge, before consuming poison, or just before slipping a noose around their neck. Fortunately, I could talk them out of their destructive state of mind and share with them important teachings from the Srimad Bhagavad Gita which straightaway helped them see reason and learn to reprogramme their lives. They understood that vicissitudes in life are not reasons to die but to be treated as great opportunities to evolve mentally, physically, spiritually and Karmically.

Based on my modest knowledge of Vedic Astrology and from my experience of teaching as well as counselling people, I started writing posts and articles on this site that would teach people important facts about Dharma, Karma, the Vedantic God concept, and achieving peace of mind by simply following a few steps which included reading the Srimad Bhagavad Gita and some important Upanishads.

As a person born and raised in India, who received excellent spiritual education since a young age, it has always disturbed me to see Indians, particularly well-educated ones, who are confused in life in spite of being born in the great land of India which is the source of the ultimate philosophy of the Advaita Vedanta. The lack of fundamental spiritual knowledge gives them a flawed ‘God concept’ and zilch knowledge about the law of Cause and Effect aka Karma, which is the prime governing factor of everyone’s life. This lack of fundamental knowledge puts people in a predicament and leads most of them into believing that God is ‘testing their faith’ or planets are out to destroy them.

This post of mine, which could be the last one for Vrischikans, is particularly meant for those Vrischikans who think they have experienced severe hardships in the last decade but have also learned to calm their mind after learning ways to master it. I must reiterate that the following predictions for Vrischikans are general in nature and that individual natal charts with different planetary placements, Dashas and Bhuktis can indicate more about an individual’s past Karma. Nevertheless, assuming that you have learned your lessons during the spiritual training period of Sadé Sati, I give you below the different stages in the next three years and their significance in your lives.

Before I continue, I would like to repeat that planets do not influence your life. Vedic Astrology is a wonderful science handed down to us by great geniuses of the past who, through centuries of study, developed a method through which one could observe planetary movements and relate them to the patterns in one’s life which indicate their past Karma. Their positions on your chart are useful merely for ‘Karma diagnosis’ purposes. Past Karma can be overcome only by balancing it. No third party can do it for you. Not even your own mother who bore you and delivered you. It’s impossible. Nevertheless, I would like to emphasise on the fact if at all there is a way to override past negative Karma without balancing it by undergoing troubles and challenges in life, it would be through total Sharanaagati. Remember what Krishna said to Arjuna in Shloka SBG 18:66? Krishna said, “Giving up all your ideas of righteousness or religion, take complete refuge in Me. I will liberate you from all sinful reactions. Do not fear.”

Predictions for Vrischikans (Lunar sign of Scorpio)
The third phase of Sadé Sati is generally considered to be a favourable period, however, in the case of Vrischikans, it could have been quite challenging. This is because Saturn is not a favourable planet for Vrischikans. In the first phase of Sadé Sati, Saturn was in the 12th house, in the second phase, Saturn moved into Vrischika or the house of Scorpioscorpio02 and currently in the third phase, Saturn passes through the 2nd house. The lord of Vrischika is Mars and when Saturn passes through the 12th,1st and 2nd houses of a house of Mars, there is bound to be unrest since, in astrological terms, Mars and Saturn are considered to be hostile to each other. This means that even during the third phase of Sadé Sati, which, for other signs is quite favourable, Vrischikans would have typically faced a lot of losses and major hurdles in personal as well as work life. The other factor that indicates such troubles in life is the presence of Guru (Jupiter) in the 12th and the 1st houses. Loss of honour could have also taken place during the last few years.

Before going into details, let me give you the good news that you have been waiting for. The next three years are going to be an extremely amazing period for Vrischikans. That’s right. You read it correctly. The period will have the potential to undo all the troubles and ‘sufferings’ Vrischikans might have undergone in the last 8-10 years. You will soon start experiencing huge growth in your courage and will benefit from general improvements in life, health and wealth; and great progress in the lives of your children if you have any. Those of you natives who are looking for life-partners stand high chances of attaining success in your pursuit of love. Previous health issues or legal problems will soon be out of your life. The position of Saturn in the third house is an excellent position which can get you back the same amount of courage and self-confidence you had when Saturn was in Leo or in Virgo about 10 to 11 years ago. People who left you during your downtime will soon start regretting their great folly of not being patient with you. However, I repeat – everything greatly depends on the strength of individual planetary positions, Dashas and Bhuktis on your chart but still, even if those positions were not all that good, this new transit of Saturn will herald a new dawn of brightness into your life. You will feel as if you were born again.

24.01.2020 09:55 Hrs IST. Saturn transits into Capricorn and remains in the Uttara Ashada or Uttiradam star for a period of 108 days. Saturn will be in the house of Capricorn along with Sun. This is a highly favourable position for career matters of Vrischikans. There could be new business development, state recognitions, high positions, promotions, etc. All those benefits could translate into wealth and landed properties. A general improvement in health, happiness, love life, career and in social status is possible. This is the period in which your new post-Sadé Sati life will begin to be carved by your destiny.

11.05.2020 05.30 Hrs. Saturn goes retrograde for a period of 140 days until 09:30 hrs 29.09.2020. Whatever were the predictions for the previous 108 days will apply during this period of 140 days too in which, Saturn is retrograde in the house of Uttara Ashada of the Sun. This means the upward course you started in the previous 108 days will continue. This can include improvement in your career, material wealth, family life along with excellent health. At this stage, I would suggest that you either write a mail to yourself or even make an audio or video in which you record all your thoughts as of this period, your current status, expectations, concerns, issues, ideas, etc. and take a look at it again exactly after 12 months. You can be sure that when you review it next year, your life would have attained a 100-150% improvement in all areas.

29.09.2020 09:31 hrs to 22.01.2021. During these 115 days. Saturn goes direct after being retrograde and traverses through the stages of Uttara Ashada star in Capricorn. Astrologically speaking, this can be an amazing period. However, there are other factors on the natal chart that reveal more details. In this period, a native has the possibility of receiving honour, wealth, success in work, happiness in the family concerning the native’s children and parents, marriage, the birth of children in the family, travelling, and so on.

Therefore the first period of almost one year starting from the end of Sadé Sati on 24.01.2021, is predicted to be simply wonderful for Vrischikans. On 22.01.2021 at 05:30 hrs, Saturn goes direct to the Shravana or Thiruvonam star which is ruled by the moon, although remaining in Makara or Capricorn until 23.05.2021. During these four months, Saturn remains in Capricorn or Makara and the moon is the Trikona lord and also the lord of the 9th house for Vrischikans. The 9th aspect of Saturn is such a fantastic position that this period, between 22.01 and 23.05.2021, will be even better than the previous 115 days. This can only add to wealth, get the native new friends, increase the happiness of siblings, indicate good health of the mother of the native, This is predicted to be a smooth and excellent period. The overall flow of things is highly positive and favourable.

23.05 to 11.10.2021. In the next period of four months and twenty days, Saturn goes retrograde again. Saturn continues in the Sharavana star moving from the 3rd ‘pada’ to the 1st ‘pada’ in retrograde motion. No, there is certainly nothing bad predicted during this period except that the positive effects experienced by the native could be slightly lower than those experienced by them during the previous four months. In order to receive the exact same amount of benefits received during the previous four months, all that you, the native would need to do would be to ensure that you remain modest, kind, friendly and generous with others, and above all, be sincerely grateful for all the lavish Divine favours received by you. Saturn in the third house along with the Moon indicates intelligence, calmness, peace and smoothness. There might be minor delays in achieving results for the work done but the virtue of patience that you learned during the Sadé Sati will come in handy.

11.10.2021 to 18.2.2022. In this period, Saturn goes direct again and moves through Makara in the positive direction. This will be so for almost four months and ten days when Saturn traverses in direct motion through the Shravana or Thiruvonam star. These extraordinary 130 days can be likened to the flight of a plane that has attained an altitude of over 40000 feet, has a tailwind, and simply shoots through the air at a speed of above 900 without much strain. It is a period of four months in which you will truly shine after having undergone all the honing during the Sadé Sati period of eight years. I would like to restate that during this period, you would have to pay extra attention to being grateful, altruistic and going out of the way to thank or help all those who helped you and stood by you during your down days. Doing so can attract immense Divine Blessings. To sum up, the period in which Saturn remains in the Shravana star would be a highly auspicious and lucky period for Vrischikans. Do not neglect your health through over-indulgence but make sure that you follow a regular fitness programme supported by a Sattvik ‘Karmafree’ diet.

18.02.2022 01:30 hrs to 29.04.2022 07:45 hrs. Saturn leaves the star of Shravana and enters the house of Dhanishta or Avittam of which, the lord is Mars which is also the lord of Vrischika. These two months and ten days are predicted to be extremely good for your health, wealth, happiness, wisdom, position, respect in society, It is a time when all those who harmed you in the past will pay for what they did. You will be blessed with such high positive energy that you would, with great ease, be able to help others in trouble as compared to the Sadé Sati years when you struggled to even fend for yourselves.

29.04.2022 to 04.06.2022. Saturn transits direct from Capricorn to Aquarius, which is the 4th house for Vrischikans and is the other house ruled again by Saturn. The prediction for these 36 days is the same as for the previous 70 days. On 05.06.2022, which is the 37th day after Saturn’s moving into Aquarius, Saturn goes retrograde and returns to Capricorn until 12.07.2022. Therefore the first 36 days in direct motion and 37 days in retrograde motion make 73 days, during which Saturn is in the 4th house, indicates all the positive things predicted for the previous period of 70 days. Saturn’s retrograde motion in the 4th house is something very good for Vrischikans although such a position is not considered to be very lucky for people of other signs.

12.07.2022 to 23.10.2022. In this period, Saturn continues its retrograde motion in the 3rd house. You will now begin to actually fully feel all the positive effects of the good Karma done in the past. The positive effects will be felt in your family life as well as at work. There are also high possibilities that Vrischkinas invest in buying property, on the education of children, buying precious metals and so on. In fact, during this retrograde motion of Saturn, it would feel like rapidly increasing the speed with which you make massive improvements in life.

23.10.2022 08:23hrs. Saturn goes direct again in Capricorn and remains there until 17.01.2023 when Saturn after entering Aquarius, will not return to Capricorn for the next almost three decades. This is the final stage of the first three post-Sadé Sati years for Vrischikans. The last 87 days of the first three-year phase after the end of the Sadé Sati period is predicted to be a period in which all that you were blessed with during the previous 33 months, will undergo exponential growth. However, as I said earlier, among the various Karmical evolutionary purposes of Sadé Sati, achieving the quality of modesty is the most important one. Doing so can guarantee the kind of exponential increase as I mentioned above in the areas of physical health, wealth, properties, vehicles, personal satisfaction in life, general happiness, gaining respect and honour in society, recognition by government authorities and other large organisations. Should your chart contain other positive and favourable planetary positions, the last 87 days of the 1st three-year phase after Sadé Sati will be so good that you will actually thank your stars for having you experience the brunt of Sadé Sati which made you into a finer person.

17.01.2023 18:05hrs. Saturn transits into Aquarius and thereby ending the 1st three-year phase after the Sadé Sati for Vrischikans. The immense knowledge and experience that Vrischikans must have literally amassed by then, are sure to guide them further and help them lead a bright and prosperous life ahead.

3. My new book Tavamithram’s Vedantic Nectar Drops (1-6) is a collection of my posts which are arranged in a particular order meant to help people fully understand Advaita Vedanta and nature’s Cause and Effect principle, which will prevent people from falling into the Karmic ditch of ego and help them realise that everyone writes their own destiny.

Dear Vrischikans, this could be my final post on Sadé Sati addressed to Vrischikans. Of course, your regular visits to this site and your participation in this venture of spreading knowledge and positive energy to people who are in need, are most welcome and will be greatly appreciated. I thank all you beautiful people you who connected with me, stayed in contact or even those who went away; and those of you who shared your precious time with others and me on this site; for sailing together during the challenging years between 2014 and now.

I wish you all Vrischikans all the very best in life and sincerely pray to Bhagavan Shri Krishna to generously bless you with a healthy, long, happy, love-filled, prosperous and fulfilling life.

Jai Shri Krishna

The long arm of Karma

In the year 1972, a woman called Linda Darby successfully pulled through an escape from the Indiana State women’s prison. Linda had been sentenced to 30 years in prison for killing her second husband and setting their house on fire to cover up the crime. The escape was bloody in nature, in which she got hurt. She was on the run for more than 35 years. In that time, she managed to create an entirely new life for herself. In order to avoid being captured, she abandoned the family and the town she knew. She went to Pulaski in Tennessee and started her life all over again. She wondered how she managed to keep such a huge secret for over 30 years. Furthermore, she got married for the third time, had two children and eight grandchildren during the over three decades of life on the run. All she did after escaping from prison was to change her last name to McElroy and one digit of her social security number, apart from burying the truth. Her life as Linda McElroy went well and no one including her family members or neighbours ever got to know anything about her past. However, after she was arrested again, she said that the fear of being identified and caught had always troubled her.

On that fateful day in October 2007, she fixed the dinner and sat at the kitchen table. The doorbell rang. Her daughter went to answer the door. It was police officer Joe Robertson, whom they knew for over 30 years. The cop entered and showed Linda a picture and asked her if she knew the person in it. Linda held the picture in her hand and took a look at it. She realised that her time was up and said that it was her in the picture. At first, Joe could not believe what she said because he had known her for so long, but Linda said that she could sit there and lie the whole day, but eventually she would be identified simply because the fingerprints she left on the photograph would not lie. She admitted before her children that, back in 1970, she was accused and convicted of murdering her second husband.

Just as she could not escape the long arm of the law of the land, people who try to avoid settling their past Karma need to know that such an escape or waiver of Karmic settlement is not possible. Going to temples, praying, feeding crows on Saturdays or donating black bedsheets to poor people on Tuesdays do not and will not help settle past Karma, of which, the only way of clearing is by settling it. Just as the police officer Joe Robertson rang Linda’s doorbell that day, Karmic settlement too can happen to anyone any time, unannounced or without any prior intimation.

People who face sudden changes in their life that throw them into challenging situations need to comprehend that it is Karma catching up with them – it could be past Karma from the same Janma or from a former one. Karma is simply the principle of cause and effect and not of reward or punishment as taught in organised religions. This is because if it were rewards and punishments, there would have to be someone or some entity carrying out the actions of rewarding and punishing. As per Advaita Vedanta, there is no separate being that does anything, but it is an entire system personified as Brahman or Krishna that automatically runs based on natural laws of which that of Cause and Effect is one.

The Shloka 18:66 of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita is one in which Krishna asks Arjuna to give up all his ideas of righteousness and religion and to completely take refuge in Him, by doing which, he would be liberated from all his sins. In the case of Linda, how much ever she would have implored and pleaded before the law of the land, she would not have been allowed to go scot-free without serving her sentence. However, according to the law of Karma and as said in Shloka SBG 18:66, there is a possibility to erase all past Karma simply through Sharanaagati or total surrender before Krishna. So, what happens when a person offers Sharanaagati? Does he or she straightaway come out of the mess they are in? The answer is a strong NO. What happens is that when a person gives up their ego and their feeling of entitlement, and follows Dharma, the process of ‘deleting old unwanted or corrupt files’ from their subconscious mind begins. Remember, in Shloka 15:08, Bhagavan Krishna says that when the Atman leaves a body, it takes along with it, the mind and the five senses. There lies the answer. The past Karma of a person is recorded in one’s own mind and not in some ‘heavenly server’. Therefore, if we were to look at it logically, we could say that when we change our mind, we change our Karma. Isn’t such a thought far better than the idiotic and fatalistic ideas taught in organised theistic religions?

In an earlier post of mine on this site, I had written about His Holiness Shankaracharya Shri Chandrashekharendra Saraswati. When his followers who faced challenges in life asked him for help and guidance, he would tell them to pray and ask for more troubles in life! This would initially shock his followers but when they deeply thought over the advice, they would comprehend that their objective should not be to escape Karma but to settle it and to be done with it as quickly as possible, and that was the reason behind the sage’s advice to his devotees to literally ask for more troubles in life. Doing so alters the entire concept of prayer. Think about it. Many people sit down at the dining table and, just before beginning to eat, thank God for the food. What do they mean? Are they thanking God for the food they have been blessed with while millions of innocent children are starving to death? Or take the case of people who face legal troubles due to tax or other financial matters – do they ask God to let them off the hook? There is an old saying in Tamil, which, when translated, means,” The one who has eaten salt (in excess) must drink water (to clear the salt).” Similarly, people who face challenges need to understand that they are not being punished by anyone but are only experiencing Karmic reactions of their own actions and also that they need to learn from those challenges and set things right apart from creating better future Karma.

Chanting Mantras and going to temples do help in calming one’s own mind and shedding ego. Doing so helps them develop a nature of being modest, generous, kind, compassionate, loving, forgiving and empathetic to the challenges faced by others. This leads to sharing with others and tending to be altruistic. We were born with absolutely nothing and when we leave, we will take nothing with us. Whoever or whatever we have or do not have, are merely those we worked for or did not work for in the past. When people, properties, wealth, power and position leave you, bear in mind that they never belonged to you and when their time is over, they leave. It is a natural law. However, until they were with you, they certainly made your life richer with experience. One’s life as an individual is merely a short journey that the perishable body occupied by the Self takes for a fixed duration of time. The destination of the body is usually a hole in the ground or a hot pyre, however rich, powerful, good-looking, smart, educated or intelligent the person may be. Treating challenges as experiences that enrich life, changes everything. They are pages in one’s own book.

When faced with challenges, instead of praying to be spared from trouble, it would make more sense to be thankful for the Karma-balancing opportunities and to remember to wish and pray for being shown ways to clear past Karma as quickly as possible. Do not forget to record what you learned. Learning from challenges and refining oneself ensure that the challenges one has faced do not happen again. Learn from your experiences and share with others what you have learned. Knowledge and love, when shared, never reduce but undergo exponential growth.

Therefore, when faced with challenges in life, simply turn that switch in your mind to stop saying “Why me?” but start looking at challenges as great Karma-settling as well as wonderful learning opportunities which facilitate progress in one’s process of Karmic evolution by settling past Karma and building new positive Karma.

The Sadé Sati Achievement Gauge for Scorpions

Now that the period, which has turned out to be quite an excruciating one for a lot of Scorpios or Vrischikans is nearing its grand finale, it is time for Vrischikans to ask themselves how useful or useless the unavoidable seven and a half year period in their life has been.

This post is about Scorpios and therefore let us begin by broadly classifying Scorpios into two groups. One group consists of people who have been affected by Sadé Sati and the other of people, who have not been affected by it. The group of people affected by Sadé Sati can again be broadly classified into two groups of people, namely, the ones who have been seriously affected in terms of losing their position, name, fame, loved ones, health, or wealth; and others who were affected but nothing very severe happened that could change their life in some way or the other.

The transit of Saturn from Sagittarius into Capricorn is due to take place on 24.01.2020. Two important questions that Vrischikans or Scorpios could ask themselves at this stage with only a few more weeks left before Saturn transits out of the second house from their natal moon into the third house thereby ending the Sadé Sati period, are,

    1. Am I THANKFUL for the last eight years?
    2. Am I upset, angry, dejected, sad, ruined and bitter about what happened to me in the last seven to eight years?

If your answer to the first question is an honest ‘Yes’, you can be absolutely confident that there is going to be a great positive change in your life in the next weeks to come. However, should your answer to the first question be either a ‘No’ or ‘I am not sure,’ and your answer to the second question be an emphatic ‘Yes’, please do not expect any miraculous changes to take place in your life after the end of your Sadé Sati. This is simply because when something that you expect does not happen, you will feel disappointed and sad and by not expecting anything, you can save yourself from the deeper sadness and misery that will be caused by your own attitude and is lurking around you waiting to take over you.

A powerful affirmative answer of yours to the above Sadé Sati question indicates that you have worked on yourself, have read the Srimad Bhagavad Gita or have at least heard my audiobook, have introspected and retrospected, have realised that you or rather your Gunas or attitude were directly responsible for whatever challenges you faced in your life, have evolved intellectually and spiritually enough to comprehend that your life is not controlled by some angry planet or God but it is your own Karma created by your own thoughts, words and deeds, that does it.

In my post ‘The Chequered Flag for Vrischikans‘ dated 14.09.2019, I had listed out some points which Vrischikans might want to take a look at and consider following. I would say that with about seven more weeks to go, there is still time to get into an autocorrection mode and straighten things up, which, when left uncorrected, could impede the process of your blossoming after the long, dull and dreary phase in your life.

Most of you must be aware that I started this blog/site as my ‘thinking aloud platform’ and have been using it to share with others whatever tiny bit of knowledge and experience that I have gathered so far in my life. Many people came here, learned what they wanted to learn, changed their lives for the better and either continued to be a part of the family or moved on with their lives. I wish everyone well and pray for the wellbeing of all.

I can say from experience that nothing apart from the Supreme Truth is real. People make promises and they do not keep them. Many of them swear to be with you until the end but find better things in life and leave. They use you and when their requirements are fulfilled, they cast you away and exit from your life. The easiest way to avoid feeling sad is to imagine yourself as the little baby you were when you arrived into this world. You had nothing apart from your physical body. You could tell yourself that considering the fact you started your life with nothing, whatever you have, makes you richer than what you were when you were born.

Those who have studied the Srimad Bhagavad Gita can easily understand that attachment leads to sadness and thinking about the results of one’s actions, paves one’s way towards situations that are filled with pain.

Bhagavan Krishna said:

SBG 9:27 Whatever you do, whatever you eat, whatever you offer in sacrifice, whatever you give, whatever you practise as austerity, O Arjuna, do it for Me and as an offering unto Me.

SBG 9:28
By doing so, you will be freed from the bonds of action that result in good and in bad. By being free and with your mind guided by the principle of the Yoga of renunciation, you will attain Me.

When there are expectations, there is bound to be pain, whereas when one develops ‘Prasadabuddhi‘ and accepts everything as Divine Gifts, the possibility of entering a situation which causes pain can be totally circumvented.

  • I am Divine energy now residing in an impermanent and biodegradable container called body. Read the Ishavasya Upanishad.
  • I don’t expect anything so I will never be disappointed.
  • Nothing or no one ever belonged to me so I have no fear of losing anything and all that I believe I possess, are temporary gifts to me that I may enjoy until the end of the current leg of my Karmic journey.
  • I am continuously evolving and therefore every experience, both good and bad, is only making me wiser.
  • I do not care about whatever happens in my life because I am well aware that life is uncertain and that it is normal for anything to happen at any time. However, I will make sure that I do not deliberately collect any new Karma, which I cannot escape paying back.
  • The most sensible thing I can do is to be a modest seeker and ask questions.
SBG 4:34 Acquire knowledge through reverence to teachers who have known the Truth, serve them and ask them questions until all of them are answered. The wise who know the Truth will teach it to you.
  • Let me be a humble witness and be thankful for all the experience that I gain through every day of my stay on the planet.

I wish you all Vrischikans well and hope that you prepare yourselves with all modesty, gratitude, kindness and love, and get ready to usher in the post-Sadé Sati part of your life, which, when lived well, is bound to bless you with excellent health, unimaginable joy, peace, prosperity and fulfilment.

The Divinity in All Living Beings

Causing differences and divisions between people in the society is against the teachings of Bhagavan Krishna. The following Shlokas from the Srimad Bhagavad Gita show that not only all humans, but also all living beings are equal before Bhagavan Krishna. No one or no being is superior or inferior.

Krishna says:
विद्याविनयसंपन्ने ब्राह्मणे गवि हस्तिनि |
शुनि चैव श्वपाके च पण्डिताः समदर्शिनः || ५ १८ ||
vidyaa vinaya sampanne braahmane gavi hastini
shuni chaiva shvapaake cha panditaaha samadarshinaha (SBG 5:18)
People who are wise treat equally, a learned and humble Brahmin,  a cow,  an elephant, and even a person who cooks and eats dog meat.

सर्वभूतस्थमात्मानं सर्वभूतानि चात्मनि |
ईक्षते योगयुक्तात्मा सर्वत्र समदर्शनः || ६ २९ ||
sarva bhootas-thamaat maanam sarva-bhootaani chaatmani
eekshate yoga-yuktaatmaa sarvatra sama-darshanaha (SBG 6:29)
A yogi whose Self is united with Divine Consciousness, sees the Self abiding in all beings and all beings in the Self. Such a person sees the same everywhere.

यो मां पश्यति सर्वत्र सर्वं च मयि पश्यति |
तस्याहं न प्रणश्यामि स च मे न प्रणश्यति || ६ ३० ||
yo maam pashyati sarvatra sarvam cha mayi pashyati
tasyaaham na prana shyaami sa cha me na prana shyati (SBG 6:30)
A person who sees Me everywhere and sees everything in Me, is not separated from Me nor am I separated from him.

सर्वभूतस्थितं यो मां भजत्येकत्वमास्थितः |
सर्वथा वर्तमानोऽपि स योगी मयि वर्तते || ६ ३१ ||
sarva bhoota sthitham yo maam bhaja tyekatva maas-thithaha
sarvathaa vartamaano’pi sa yogee mayi vartate (SBG 6:31)
The one who is in union with Me and worships Me residing in all beings, becomes a Yogi and, whatever circumstances the person may be in, resides in Me.

मत्कर्मकृन्मत्परमो मद्भक्तः सङ्गवर्जितः |
निर्वैरः सर्वभूतेषु यः स मामेति पाण्डव || ११ ५५ ||
matkarma krinmat paramo madbhaktah sanga varjitaha
nirvairaha sarva bhooteshu yah sa maameti paandava (SBG 11:55)
The one who is engaged in doing My work and considers Me his Supreme Goal; is free from contamination of the mind with previous activities and doubts; is free from attachment; has no enmity towards any creature, and is friendly with every living entity; certainly comes to me O Arjuna.

Remember, it is not just all humans but it is all living beings that are equal before Krishna. Therefore, Love, live, let live and respect the divinity in each other.

Dhanteras

Namaste.

The Dhanteras day, also known as Dhana Trayodashi or Dhanvantari Trayodashi, is observed as the day when Shri Vishnu incarnated as Shri Dhanvantari who is considered to be the Father of Ayurveda. The day is the thirteenth (Trayodashi) day of the Krishna Paksha or dark fortnight of the month of Karthika. The Dhanteras day is revered as the day of the Samudra Manthan or the churning of the ocean, when Shri Dhanvantari incarnated and Sri Lakshmi, the Goddess of wealth, appeared out of the ocean that was being churned by the Devas and the Asuras.

Shri Dhanvantari is invoked as the greatest protector and healer. The Dhanvantari Mantra is in praise of Shri Dhanvantari whom devotees humbly pray to for good health.

May Shri Dhanvantari and His consort Sri Mahalakshmi, bless you and your loved ones, with the greatest wealth of health, intellect and an abundance of all forms of material wealth.

ॐ श्री महालक्ष्म्यै च विद्महे
विष्णु पत्न्यै च धीमहि
तन्नो लक्ष्मी प्रचोदयात् ॐ॥
Om Shri Mahalakshmyai Cha Vidmahe
Vishnu Patnyai Cha Dheemahi
Tanno Lakshmi Prachodaya’at Om॥

Unsolicited Advice or Free Information

During the time I lived in India, there were multiple instances when people showed me things like a furniture product, artwork, website or a presentation that they had created and asked me for my opinion. Since I felt that it was my responsibility to give them my feedback that could help them improve their creation, I would give them my honest opinion mentioning the errors or flaws that I had observed in their work. I found to my utter dismay that they got upset when I offered them my constructive criticism! On the other hand, when someone from Germany asked me for my opinion regarding something created by them, they would be extremely happy if I found faults and pointed them out to them! Due to their aim for perfection, they usually don’t look for someone who would pamper and inflate their ego through appreciation and lavish praises, but they look for those who would tell them what they could do in order to achieve a hundred per cent perfection.

Some time ago, I called a popular person in Madras whose YouTube videos on South Indian politics I watch regularly. I had noticed in a few of his videos that he claimed to quote from the Srimad Bhagavad Gita but in reality, they were merely things like, “Whatever happens, happens for good”, “What is yours today will be somebody else’s tomorrow” and other such stuff that one receives on Whatsapp but does not exist in the Srimad Bhagavad Gita. My suggestion to him was that since he is a senior person considered to be well-read and experienced, he should spend about three hours to actually read through all the 18 chapters of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita at least once so that it would enable him to quote relevant shlokas concerning Karmayoga, self and mind control, social justice, self-confidence, fearlessness, devotion etc. and also rubbish allegations of anti-Dharma forces that the great scripture teaches casteism.

Instead of being thankful and happy to receive an important piece of advice from a well-wisher like me from across the ocean who has taught the Srimad Bhagavad Gita to thousands of people, he took to defending his position! He said that his aim was to spread good values and by saying that they came from the Gita, people would pay more attention to what he was saying and that is why he said such things like “Whatever happens, happens for good, etc.! He also said that as he was ‘old’, even if he read the Srimad Bhagavad Gita, he would not be able to remember much of it!

I thanked him for taking my call, wished him all the very best and made a final unsuccessful attempt to get him to read the great scripture at least once.

In my experience of counselling couples, I observed that most of them had relationship problems simply because they did not listen to what their partner said. People usually give boring clichéd advice to couples such as “Be patient and understanding”. However, what I suggest to people is to never say “No” to free knowledge and information! When a person suggests something to you, you are actually receiving thoughts and ideas from another human being with their own education and different kinds of experience. The information or advice is all the more important when the other person is of the opposite gender!  A man can never think like a woman nor can a woman think like a man. Never! Therefore, when a man’s female partner tells him something, he should seriously consider the fact that he is receiving knowledge and information from a person of the opposite gender whose way of thinking is something he will never be able to experience. This means that he is receiving priceless knowledge that is otherwise impossible for him, for free. It applies to women paying attention to what their men say too.

Being more pragmatic and treating constructive criticism as a great boon that could lead one towards perfection, can greatly contribute in building healthier, enriching and more useful relationships, and make life more interesting and worth living. People who do not know this secret, invariably try their best to prove themselves right even if they knew that they were wrong!

Since the time I published the Srimad Bhagavad Gita in the form of an audiobook, I make it a point to mention it at the end of every post of mine. Studying the Srimad Bhagavad Gita cannot get simpler and easier than listening to it as an audiobook instead of reading it which might be difficult and uninteresting for people with problems of concentration.

Those who haven’t read the Srimad Bhagavad Gita, please do get a copy of my audiobook and listen to it multiple times. It is sure to positively affect the way you think and add value, peace, happiness, fearlessness, confidence and get you abundant Divine Blessings.

Remember: Never say “No” to free knowledge and information in the form of advice or suggestions from others. A clever and sensible person would normally receive the free information, process it in their mind and then decide whether to implement it or not. It is certainly better than trying to emulate their feline pet that shuts its eyes as it drinks milk!

May you all stay blessed.

Shastra Puja – Dassault Rafale

As the Leader, so the People.
यथा राजा तथा प्रजा  [Yathaa Raja, Thathaa Prajaa.]

India is blessed with the most wonderful leader Shri Narendra Modiji. Despite the efforts of anti-Dharma and anti-India forces, he continues to rise and take along with him in his rise, his entire family of over 1.3 billion Indians.

Shri Modiji’s knowledge of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita and the fact that he is guided by his intellect to apply the Divine Knowledge in his life, have already shown tremendous results.
Bhagavan Krishna said:
SBG Shloka 4:07 “Whenever righteousness comes down and irreligion predominates, O descendant of Bhaaratha (Arjuna), I manifest Myself.”

We are now witnessing events which were unthinkable a few years ago. They include the incarceration of people who have been comfortably swindling the nation since a very long time, and also the rapidly increasing respect for India and Indians on the international arena.

Traditions, however silly, nonsensical or irrational they may seem, contribute towards the ethnic, regional, national and even linguistic identity and the sense of oneness of the people of a community or nation. The most developed and modern countries also follow their Abrahamic tradition of inviting a priest to utter a few words from their holy scriptures and to sprinkle ‘holy water’ at the place where they are about to commence a new project, commission a new aircraft or ship. The western tradition of breaking a bottle of champagne against new ships is one that they have inherited from the Greeks who did it to honour Gods and seek their blessings.

So why is it that pseudo-liberals, pseudo-westernised Indians, ‘Macaulayists’, and other such anti-Dharma, as well as anti-India forces, are against what has been done by the honourable Indian defence minister in Paris on Ayudha Puja day 2019?

The Indian government took delivery of the Dassault Rafale [pronounced DASS-O RA-FAAL] aircrafts in France. The day coincided with the Ayudha Puja day which was respectfully observed and celebrated by the Indian Defence Minister and his team. What was wrong about it? And what was regressive or communal about it?!

It is rather an unfortunate and ugly truth that India could be either the only one or one of the very few countries in the world, in which disrespecting the nation, its indigenous culture and traditions, and also its leaders are considered to be signs of being progressive and elite!

On the positive side, we should be thankful for the great leader Shri Modiji that we have, who sets an example for the people, particularly the young ones, with his attitude, manners, style, discipline, total self-confidence, honesty, respect for people and nature, respect for elders and women, readiness to learn and stay abreast with technological developments, by discussing Dharmic philosophy in public and not behaving like an apologetic that most Sanatana Dharmis have been trained to behave as, and above all, with his immeasurable love and respect for India as well as Indians.

Indeed do people follow their leader. The honourable Indian leader Shri Narendra Damodardas Modijji, who is the greatest one after Netaji Subhash Chandra Boseji and Shri Sardar Vallabhai Patelji, is one leader that people could blindly emulate and succeed in attaining great Karmic evolution.
