Krishna Jayanti: the birth of Krishna IN YOU

नत्वेवाहं जातु नासं न त्वं नेमे जनाधिपाः |
न चैव न भविष्यामः सर्वे वयमतः परम् || २ १२ ||
na tvevaaham jaatu naasam
na tvam neme janaadhi-paaha
na chaiva na bhavishyaa-maha
sarve vayam-ataha param (SBG 2:12)

“There was never a time when I did not exist, nor you, nor all these kings. We will also never cease to exist.” (SBG 2:12)

KRISHNA, WHO SYMBOLISES THE WHOLE, IS TIMELESS. HE CANNOT BE BORN AND CAN NOT DIE.

This day needs to mark the birth of Krishna in you – or rather, the finest version of you that meets all the qualities of Krishna.

For this, one would need to study the Srimad Bhagavad Gita and persevere to emulate Krishna in real life. Krishna is the possibility that ordinary Jivatmas can become if they shed their ego, ignorance, and superstition, and acquire true knowledge taught by Krishna in the Srimad Bhagavad Gita.

Be smart; be socially responsible in all your thoughts, words, and deeds; carry no ego and selfishness; perform all your actions with total dedication, zero attachment, and as an offering unto Krishna.

Taking a resolution to live like Krishna, would be the true way of observing and celebrating ‘KRISHNA’S BIRTH’.

त्रैगुण्यविषया वेदा निस्त्रैगुण्यो भवार्जुन |

traiguNya-vishayaa vedaa
nistraiguNyo bhavaarjuna
nirdvandvo nithya-satthvastho
niryoga-kshema aatmavaan (SBG 2:45)
Vedic literature deals with subjects that fall under the three Gunas. O Arjuna, you should rise above the three, be free from the thoughts of acquisition and preservation, always remain in Sattva or goodness and be established in the Self. (SBG 2:45)

Just as a talented sculptor ‘uncovers’ a beautiful statue in a rock by shedding material around it, you too can be born as Krishna by shedding duality, dogma, superstition, fear, hate, envy, and all other negative qualities to uncover the Krishna in you.

अहमात्मा गुडाकेश सर्वभूताशयस्थितः |

sarva-bhootaa-shayas-thitaha
ahamaadish-cha madhyam cha

I am the Self, O Gudakesha (Arjuna), situated within all living entities. I am the origin, the middle and also the end of all beings. (SBG 10:20)

Have a Blessed Krishna Jayanti and a new life as a new person.

Jai Shri Krishna

75th Indian Independence Day

The hymn is close to the hearts of over 1.4 billion people (as of 2022) worldwide.

The Indian National Anthem I rendered along with m son to my musical arrangement.

Tavamithram (Mithram) – a Vedanta teacher who is neither a baba nor a swami but just another common person who is passionate about children, family, people, nature, learning, music, adventure, life, living, and above all, the Srimad Bhagavad Gita, and Vedanta as a whole.

With great reverence, deep admiration, and heartfelt gratitude to all the fearless, committed and patriotic men, women, and children, who fought for India’s freedom, and to those brave men and women in uniform and others who have offered their entire lives in service of our Motherland.

We live far away, but our hearts beat for our Motherland.

Jai Bharat Varsh
